his matchmaking mother at bay, but hilarity ensues when love threatens
to complicate everything.</b><br /><br />The last thing Hugh Standish, Earl
of Fareham, ever wants is a wife. Unfortunately for him, his mother is
determined to find him one, even from across the other side of the
ocean. So, Hugh invents a fake fiancée to keep his mother’s matchmaking
ways at bay. But when Hugh learns his interfering mother is on a ship
bound for England, he realizes his complicated, convoluted but
convenient ruse is about to implode. Until he collides with a beautiful
woman, who might just be the miracle he needs.<br /><br />Minerva Merriwell
has had to struggle to support herself and her two younger sisters ever
since their feckless father abandoned them. Work as a woodcut engraver
is few and far between, and the Merriwell sisters are nearly penniless.
So, when Hugh asks Minerva to pose as his fiancée while his mother is
visiting, she knows that while the scheme sounds ludicrous, the offer is
too good to pass up.<br /><br />Once Minerva and her sisters arrive at
Hugh's estate, of course, nothing goes according to his meticulous plan.
As hilarity and miscommunication ensue, while everyone tries to keep
their tangled stories straight, Hugh and Minerva’s fake engagement
starts to turn into a real romance. But can they trust each other, when
their relationship started with a lie?</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span id="freeText17361672718451123767"> </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="text-align: center;"><u><b>Review </b></u><br /></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody"> </div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody">I absolutely adored this book that went straight onto my list
of keepers. I'll definitely need a print copy of it as well. I loved
Hugh and Minerva, even though Hugh made me scream in frustration a
couple of times (when I wasn't laughing or giggling) but he was just too
lovable to stay mad at him. <br />Minerva is amazing, sweet, competent,
caring and all of her flaws make her even more perfect. Her ability not
to take herself too seriously (in a good way) and to laugh about
herself, is one of the things that I love most about her. <br /><br />Between
Hugh, Minerva, Drury Lane and his mother, there are so many imaginative
and funny things happening, so many wonderful characters to meet and
fall in love with, that I just kept on reading till the end. And I must admit that I will never be able to listen to Mozart with a straight face again... <br /><br />Minerva's
sisters, his butler, and his best friend, all of the minor characters
are lovingly described and I can't wait to learn more about them in the
books to come. And I already know that I haven't read Minerva and Hugh's
story for the last time. Well-written, funny, and captivating, this
book is simply amazing!

One text, one single text that changed their lives and saved both of them as a result. The war veteran and the writer, the survivors...both of them are fighters and willing to do everything to protect themselves and those around them.<br />I loved that both of our heroes, Honor, and Nathan were unabashedly honest in the way they dealt with each other. No games, no shyness, just honesty.<br />Surviving not just the kidnapping but everything that came afterward, well, those two and the events definitely kept me on my toes. Towards the end, I barely breathed but just kept turning the pages faster and faster. spark that made me fly through the pages and kept me glued to my reader
in the other books by Jessica Prince that I read. I started to read and
put it aside, started again, ...repeat.<br /><br />I can't even say why it
took me so long or what exactly I was missing but I couldn't feel the
chemistry at the beginning and even though I really liked both main
characters, I couldn't relate to them at all. Halfway through the book, I
felt more emotionally invested and found myself laughing out loud,
giggling, and being annoyed (yes, that as well) only to stay mildly
interested for a couple of pages bc the story seemed at times a bit
predictable and ... well, the characters, on the whole, stayed a bit
flat and not as interesting and well developed as usual. Also, the plot
felt as if it was missing some real action.<br /><br />I absolutely loved
all the other books set in Hope Valley but this one feels totally
different and not just because it is the start of a new series. I will
definitely read the other books in the Whiskey Dolls Series as well
because even though I didn't love Bombshell as much as the other books
by Jessica Prince, I can't wait to learn more about the Whiskey Dolls
girls and their stories.

</p><p> </p><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">☕☕☕</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-87611915938285212322021-03-14T21:59:00.001+01:002021-03-31T15:24:42.419+02:00Family Camp (Daddy Dearest #1) by Eli Easton<div class="separator"><h2 style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"></h2><h2 style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"></h2><h2 style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"></h2><h2 style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img alt="Family Camp (Daddy Dearest, #1)" src="https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1552679933l/44437664._SY475_.jpg" /></h2></div><h2 style="text-align: left;"></h2><h2 style="text-align: center;"></h2><p> <br /></p><h2 style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/44437664-family-camp" target="_blank"><i>Family Camp (Daddy Dearest #1)</i> <span style="font-weight: normal;">by</span> Eli Easton</a></h2><p style="text-align: center;"><u><b> </b></u></p><p style="text-align: center;"><u><b> </b></u></p><p style="text-align: center;"><u><b>Blurb</b></u></p><p><i><span id="freeText11512536160313862034">When Geo signs up for

dritten Band dieser Trilogie werde ich mir wohl nicht noch geben.</p><p> </p><p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="font-size: large;">☕☕☕</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><br /><p style="text-align: center;"><b style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"> <br /></b><u></u></p>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-76950294798776056852021-03-01T19:23:00.000+01:002021-03-31T19:32:26.701+02:00Der italienische Garten von Alyson Richman<p><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"> <a href="https://www.penguinrandomhouse.de/ebook/Der-italienische-Garten/Alyson-Richman/Diana-Verlag/e475513.rhd" target="_blank"><i><b>Der italienische Garten</b></i> von<b> Alyson Richman</b></a></span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b> </b></span><span style="font-size: large;"> <span style="font-size: small;"><b><span style="color: #3d85c6;">Übersetzt von:</span> </b></span></span><span style="color: #9fc5e8;"><span style="font-size: small;">Norbert Möllemann</span></span></p><p></p><p> </p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgon7TRHKMTaopFUmy_O_FTAtXxWzySD_J8G_YjoQdXZGyPXHn6WBDluU57bMoyqP0N6vY_NQaDIFuxqz61R_6dLT1wjcMXMHLTAK-I2ZpR380cCbYOsW6NsK1vXPuGAJrt96XO0GR9ELI/s556/IGA.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="556" data-original-width="350" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgon7TRHKMTaopFUmy_O_FTAtXxWzySD_J8G_YjoQdXZGyPXHn6WBDluU57bMoyqP0N6vY_NQaDIFuxqz61R_6dLT1wjcMXMHLTAK-I2ZpR380cCbYOsW6NsK1vXPuGAJrt96XO0GR9ELI/s320/IGA.jpg" /></a></p><p style="text-align: center;"> <u><b>Inhalt</b></u></p><p></p><p><i>Portofino 1943. ist in der Gesellschaft bis heute spürbar.
</p><p><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">☕☕☕☕☕</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br /></p>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-42244428245783554022021-02-14T10:11:00.000+01:002021-02-14T10:11:04.907+01:00A Stitch in Time (Thorne Manor #1) by Kelley Armstrong <p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53447303-a-stitch-in-time" target="_blank"><i>A Stitch in Time (Thorne Manor #1) </i></a> </span></b></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>by</b></span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: medium;"> <i><a href="http://www.kelleyarmstrong.com/" target="_blank">Kelley Armstrong </a></i></span></b><br /></p><p><i></i></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7W9zm9Wamkh_6CWHfHTjiq6YV_yeHzbr-BImZ-R2bhFrm-M1pbMyKRfTHfjmBzM-iL01tNL4sK3zCwdt8pDdImVV6CqOp1HfvVBjs-fOlQqRnTseZSFw7cL7gmLjcXKNxYRUdgq-_Q3U/s500/51rF3o3DpHL.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="329" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7W9zm9Wamkh_6CWHfHTjiq6YV_yeHzbr-BImZ-R2bhFrm-M1pbMyKRfTHfjmBzM-iL01tNL4sK3zCwdt8pDdImVV6CqOp1HfvVBjs-fOlQqRnTseZSFw7cL7gmLjcXKNxYRUdgq-_Q3U/w264-h400/51rF3o3DpHL.jpg" width="264" /></a></i></div><p><i><br /></i></p><p style="text-align: center;"><i> </i><u><b>Blurb</b></u></p><p><i>Thorne Manor has always been haunted...and it has always haunted Bronwyn Dale. This book is simply amazing and I loved every single page of it! Even though I hadn't read Howl again, it took me only a few sentences to be back in Uttira and everything came back at once. Oh, well, Piepen made himself unforgettable once again and I may have cringed while laughing out loud but he and his kind are sweet (in their own particular way at least) and it's always fun to meet them - inside the pages of a book.<br />Fenris is still wonderful and supportive, charming and just Fenris. With Megan and Oanen still gone and one or more crisis at hand, he is there to support Eliana however and when ever he can. While we are still trying to find Ashlyn and Eliana under pressure to feed properly whereas Fenris still has to fend of potential mates, I still can't make my mind up about Eliana's mother. She means well but.... <br />And then there's Adira. And all the others who expect Eliana to behave like a good succubus no matter what she wants and how she feels - and it makes me furious! I loved Eliana from the first tackle-hug on and seeing her hurt because of these people... ugh. <br /><br />This is once again an absolutely wonderful book with a great storyline and unique and very lovable characters - I loved It and can't wait to read the next book in the series, The Hunger! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;"> </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: large;"> 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: large;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;"> </span><br /></p>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-75403084616865308222021-02-12T21:42:00.006+01:002021-02-17T11:36:25.056+01:00 Love In Moments (Love Distilled #2) by Scarlett Cole<div class="separator"><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial;"><i><span id="freeText16581845585355084317"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhem1mw-qQ6wswmnRgK7HkhLvSOGobSSHOc4L_83pI8tCmOlHvFZ02cjlX2aDNi5MeqqYAhkTMhZ3wkmaOYN3vkrkRrsSixW_hDQUTIqNp1YBFOMUIWntwjcwwXoq4cVOKW2OmlG9Clo8U/s1705/LIM+-+RB+banner.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="630" data-original-width="1705" height="275" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhem1mw-qQ6wswmnRgK7HkhLvSOGobSSHOc4L_83pI8tCmOlHvFZ02cjlX2aDNi5MeqqYAhkTMhZ3wkmaOYN3vkrkRrsSixW_hDQUTIqNp1YBFOMUIWntwjcwwXoq4cVOKW2OmlG9Clo8U/w750-h275/LIM+-+RB+banner.jpg" width="750" /></a></span></i></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial;"> </span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial;"> </span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><h2><u><span style="font-family: arial;"> IT IS LIVE! </span></u></h2><h2><u><span style="font-family: arial;"></span></u></h2><h3><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>The wonderful second book in the Love Distilled series is finally live!</i></span></h3><h3><span style="font-family: arial;"><i> </i></span><b><span style="font-family: arial;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial;"> <i> </i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56475803-love-in-moments" target="_blank"><i>Love In Moments (Love Distilled #2) </i>by <i>Scarlett Cole</i></a></span></b><i><span style="font-family: arial;"></span></i></h3></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><i> </i> <br /><img alt="Love In Moments (Love Distilled # 2)" height="548" src="https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1609937032l/56475803._SY475_.jpg" width="341" /><span id="freeText16581845585355084317"> </span></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><span id="freeText16581845585355084317"> </span></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><span id="freeText16581845585355084317"> </span></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><u><b><span id="freeText16581845585355084317">BLURB</span></b></u></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><span id="freeText16581845585355084317"> </span></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody"><span style="font-family: arial;"><i><span id="freeText16581845585355084317"><br /><br />Swedish hockey player,

the one hand, there is the beautiful love between Anders and Olivia,
their chemistry and their love are palpable and I loved to see them grow

wonderful together and I felt with them, cheered them on, and worried a
lot along the way. Oh, and I might have wanted to kick Anders
sometimes... <br /><br />Anders and Olivia are complex and complicated characters, both of them battling their own demons.<br />Whereas
Anders is still trying to figure out his future and to find his place
in the game and in his world, Olivia is dealing with the aftermath of a
crippling depression that ruled her life for far too long. It hasn't
been that long that she has fought her way back to life and at times she
is still struggling. As someone who has first-hand experience with
depression, I recognized much of myself in her. The author perfectly
described the crippling feelings, the helplessness, and also the lack of
understanding of those around you who never experienced anything like this and simply can't understand it. <br />This book is intense and honest and despite this serious topic, it
is still a beautiful love story and we get to see Olivia reclaim her
life bit by bit, step by step with Anders at her side who supports her.<br /><br /></span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;">I really loved this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series! </span></div><div class="reviewText mediumText description readable" itemprop="reviewBody" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span>

THE PROPOSAL
Driven to undo the evil wrought by her dead husband, Millicent Wentworth must find a way to save her estate and free the innocent people he enslaves. Her only hope is a marriage—in name only—to the notorious widower the Earl of Aytoun.
THE GROOM
Devastated by the tragic accident that killed his wife and left him gravely wounded, Lyon Pennington, fourth Earl of Aytoun, is tormented by the accusations that blame him for the catastrophe. Filled with despair, he lets his mother lure him into a marriage of convenience—for the sake of a good-hearted woman on the verge of financial ruin.
THE DESIRE
Under Millicent’s gentle gaze, Lyon begins to regain his strength and his wounded heart begins to heal. And soon Millicent discovers that beneath his unruly beard and grim demeanor, Lyon just may be the most handsome—and caring—man she’s ever encountered. For the first time in her life, she realizes that she is alive—alive with a smoldering desire for the one man she’ll love forever…

characters, both of them have suffered so much and still they dare hope.
Seeing Lyon and Millicent fall for each other and help each other heal,
is something special that always touches my heart.<br /><br />Set in the
Highlands at the time of the Clearings, were whole families were left
homeless and forced to leave their native land, this beautiful
passionate book tells a story of compassion and healing and the power of
love.<br /><br />Seeing Millicent heal and take a chance at love, see her
change because of love after everything she endured, never fails to move
me. Her compassion for the former slaves in her employ, her fight for
their rights and happiness as well as her love and compassion for them,
make her even more precious. And when Lyon enters her life and you can
feel how she is drawn to him despite her fears and insecurities and when
he slowly, upturned dish by upturned dish, shattered glass by shattered
glass comes to appreciate her compassion, her fire and sees her as the
beautiful and strong young woman that she is - it still gets me, every
time I read it.<br /><br />Their love for each other and those around them
is palpable and I love to read their personal story and about their
personal growth but I also love that this story highlights a time that
you don't read about very often. There are the Clearings and the
consequences for the people working the lands on the one hand and
slavery and it's cruelty on the other hand.<br /><br />Slavery is not yet
banned in England at the time where this book is set. This book doesn't
sugarcoat anything but shows slavery as the cruel disgrace that it was.
You learn about it in the characters' memories and in a rather factual
way though, compassionate but still factual.<br /><br />There are so many
wonderful multi-layered and complex characters in this book, you care
for each and every one of them deeply and they stay with you for a long
time after you have closed the book.<br />I can't say how often I've read

I've read it a couple of times already, now I'm waiting patiently... okay, kidding... impatiently for the audiobook to be released.<br /><br />I've read all the books in the <i><a href="https://cupofteaandbook.blogspot.com/2019/01/hellion-relentless-7-by-karen-lynch.html?m=1" target="_blank">Relentless series</a></i> by the author numerous times, read them, listened to them, petted the paperbacks (and the gorgeous hardback) lovingly... you know, that kind of book love. <br />So, naturally, I was thrilled (and a bit worried) when I started to read <i><a href="https://cupofteaandbook.blogspot.com/2020/05/pawn-is-here-pawn-first-book-in-karen.html?m=1" target="_blank">Pawn</a></i>, the first book in the Fae Games series. The expectations were high but - the book was even better than I could have hoped for. An instant favorite, read and listened to far too many times by now to remember how often and now - Knight.<br /><br />You should have read Pawn before you start reading Knight because Knight continues where Pawn ended - and I loved every minute of this book. Once again it kept me glued to my reader and, well, l can't even start to say what I loved best. If you fell in love with Finch in Pawn, you will love to meet him (and others) again in Knight. I was constantly awww-ing and smiling goofily when reading about him and.... oops.<br /><br />The story itself was captivating and I loved to see the different characters unfold and, yep, some groveling and making up for stupid actions may have been involved as well, just in case you were wondering.<br /><br />The imaginative narrative, the well-developed and captivating plot and the authentic multi-layered characters as well as the amazing writing make this book and this whole series once again so special. And now I'm anxiously and very impatiently waiting for Queen, the final book in the trilogy!</p><p style="text-align: center;"> 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟</p><p> <br /></p></div>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-81492361274954668872020-12-24T11:54:00.001+01:002020-12-24T11:54:55.684+01:00Merry Christmas! <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgymXjgjM6QhvhOk2HdYvb4ZKQ_kLLuBnGgB10J_KHOoe9PedCTRhdKw5us0Hvj13-2ynofz1wGgPhSzICyeBFK4a6X1cK16THPBG_9Ny8ZzsRdJRPrZy8hA14ldti3FVC1wV94TMg1PJ0/s2048/2020-12-22-12-08-45.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgymXjgjM6QhvhOk2HdYvb4ZKQ_kLLuBnGgB10J_KHOoe9PedCTRhdKw5us0Hvj13-2ynofz1wGgPhSzICyeBFK4a6X1cK16THPBG_9Ny8ZzsRdJRPrZy8hA14ldti3FVC1wV94TMg1PJ0/w360-h640/2020-12-22-12-08-45.jpg" title="Frohe Weihnachten!" width="360" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-89537178795563946092020-11-22T18:12:00.006+01:002020-11-22T20:34:51.509+01:00 Beg, Borrow or Steal by Susie Tate<p><br /> </p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36055098-beg-borrow-or-steal" target="_blank"><u><span style="font-size: large;"> Beg, Borrow or Steal by Susie Tate</span></u></a></p><p><span id="freeText10973152569902362723"><br /> <br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHRXWxG2TBe49sMfFVK28YpZWADPgqZxI0RebqfaLE7NBB2FPQIiaKW7jrdLOGC6dd-n3vyvLutLWp7sf6hzZ7DbVRz1xlTtvLn22E-TtOswD72U7YxXbzsf9YM2pddcFLPQcqPtqnUQY/s2238/2020-11-22-18-05-35.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2238" data-original-width="1436" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHRXWxG2TBe49sMfFVK28YpZWADPgqZxI0RebqfaLE7NBB2FPQIiaKW7jrdLOGC6dd-n3vyvLutLWp7sf6hzZ7DbVRz1xlTtvLn22E-TtOswD72U7YxXbzsf9YM2pddcFLPQcqPtqnUQY/w256-h400/2020-11-22-18-05-35.jpg" width="256" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><i><span id="freeText10973152569902362723"><span id="freeText10973152569902362723">Jamie is proud of
everything he’s achieved. A consultant anaesthetist and the Medical

students falls asleep, right in the middle of a tutorial, he is furious.
He’s a bloody good teacher, damn it! <br /> <br /></span><span id="freeText10973152569902362723">Maybe he could have been a

finally opened her eyes, and his inappropriate reaction, only fuelled
his anger. He’s tired of lame excuses from wild party animals burning
the candle at both ends, and he’s going to make an example of this one. <br /> <br />For
Libby, pride is a luxury and beauty is currency. Pregnant at seventeen
and an aspiring doctor, she couldn’t afford to be proud, so she cashed

that this mother and daughter belong with him. So when a stag night
he’s on ends up in the best strip club in England and he sees who the
main attraction is, his reaction is explosive. <br /> <br />Despite
everything, Libby finds she still has some pride left. This man has made
her feel small twice now. He won’t be getting a third shot. No matter

course, the way they included everyone around them. Millie especially
holds a very special place in my heart and Rosie made me snort and laugh

Bad attitude. Terrible boyfriend. That’s what my exes have said about me—but I wasn’t serious about any of them, so what do I care what rumors they spread? What I need is to be left alone; by the press, by the paparazzi, and by women.
Too bad I’m about to be surrounded by them for the weekend. My obnoxious, matchmaking brother is getting married, and he’s doing his damndest to find me a wedding date… </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> “HARD TO FIND.” </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">That’s what they say about good men—they’re hard to find. Not that when I find one, I’ll be the type he’s looking for; too nice, too ordinary, too boring.
My cousin is getting married, and her fiancé insists on throwing me at his brother. Cold, uncaring professional football player Tripp Wallace would never look twice at a woman like me. Too bad for both of us, I was wrong… <br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><h3><span style="font-size: large;"><u><b>Review</b></u></span></h3></div><br />I must admit that I had a hard time with this book. It got much better towards the end which saved it but for almost half of the book I really didn't like Tripp. <br /><br />Sure, some of his antics made me smile but on the whole, he simply behaved like an a... Chandler was nice. And boring. And it took her some time to find her backbone and stand up for herself. So... Well. <br />She didn't impress me that much either. <br /><br />All in all the book was fine but I Iike the first books in the series much better.<p></p><p style="text-align: center;"> 🌟🌟🌟</p><p> </p>...always time for a nice cup of tea and a good book!http://www.blogger.com/profile/12026295777832601214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1534393106869625548.post-20670282090496454302020-09-05T12:33:00.002+02:002020-09-05T12:34:55.807+02:00Revved to the Maxx by Melanie Moreland <p style="text-align: center;"><b><i><u><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53460588-revved-to-the-maxx" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: large;">Revved to the Maxx</span></a></u></i></b></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A new standalone from bestselling author </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://melaniemoreland.com/" target="_blank"><b><span style="font-size: medium;">Melanie Moreland</span></b></a> </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnp-ZINAXx5J8JoFospVLjf8U569ICuEvHgfyTxF1uWGVDv8f8pNwU7qI1L8bGJNjsvM-FtSgahC-TZqQiQ6kSWjCalIR1dv04MO-A3qJeiLvK6D9fnE5cBKTEI1MiEbKUhNju62oHMzc/s2048/Screenshot_20200905-112220.png" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnp-ZINAXx5J8JoFospVLjf8U569ICuEvHgfyTxF1uWGVDv8f8pNwU7qI1L8bGJNjsvM-FtSgahC-TZqQiQ6kSWjCalIR1dv04MO-A3qJeiLvK6D9fnE5cBKTEI1MiEbKUhNju62oHMzc/w225-h400/Screenshot_20200905-112220.png" width="225" /></a></div>Maxx Reynolds needs help.<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>His shop, house, and life are all in a state of disarray.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>In desperation, he turns to the internet to hire a new employee, </div><div><br /></div><div>thinking it will make his life easier</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>What he expects is a fellow named Charly.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>What he gets is a quirky, sassy, red-head named</div><div><br /></div><div>Charlynn who runs circles around him.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>And she’s all woman.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>He can’t stand her.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>He can’t keep his hands off her either.</div><div><p><br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b style="text-align: left;"><u>Review</u></b></div><p> Oh my gosh, this book was just what I needed! <div style="text-align: left;">
Even though I binged this whole series since yesterday and couldn't put it down, the series and especially this book left me rather unsatisfied. Yes, the story was intense and gripping but at the same time, it lacked some depth. I couldn't fully relate to the characters despite the fact that I really liked them and waited impatiently to learn more about them and to get more emotionally involved. Alas, I never did.</div>
And then, finally, the big show-down, amazing scenes, fights, everything that I wished for...and then it was over and I was left with a bunch of unanswered questions, our great crew torn apart after everything they went through ...nope, no spoilers here...you have to find out yourself what happened...and I just sat back and thought something intelligent like..."Huh?"<br />
<br />
All those wonderful questions about the main villain and his role, about Rory, about Wild and those that are out to kill her and who already killed her brother and then it turns out that these first trilogy doesn't even answer these questions but solves a problem that feels a bit, well, constructed. Yes, I can see why they introduced these characters but it feels as if everything is stretched faaaaaaaar.....just to fill these books. I can't find anything about the number of trilogies that they plan to add but I must admit that I won't read them, at least not until they are done with the whole series. This is frustrating. There is so much potential but at the moment it feels as if there are too many plots and none of them is really fleshed out.<br />
The blurbs of books 1 and 2 mention that these books end on a cliffhanger, I was fine with that as the third book was already out and I thought that that would give me all the answers. Well, it didn't. And I really don't know how I feel about that. I had a hard time deciding how to rate this book. It is a very weak 3.5 star-read now ...<br />

<i><span id="freeText8492711526115801314"> </span><span id="freeText8492711526115801314">Katherine Gates has been

the greatest roommate in the world and his favorite coworker. They’re
friends—best friends.<br /><br />In the dark days of her youth, it was her
friendships that kept her alive and made life in a junkyard worth
living. So she’s learned to shove her feelings for Cash down deep, even
if that means ignoring eyes that shine brighter than the Montana summer
sun and the smile that illuminates the snowiest winter day.<br /><br />Except
with every passing year, the denial takes its toll on her wounded heart
until one day Katherine decides to take an impulsive road trip to the
Oregon coast. Alone. That is, until Cash cons his way into the passenger
seat.<br /><br />The farther they travel, the harder it is to pretend. And
when she confesses her feelings, she learns that Cash has some secrets
of his own. Secrets that will either bond them together.</span></i><i><span id="freeText8492711526115801314">Or rip them apart.</span></i>

<br />
I love Devney Perry's other books so it didn't really come as a surprise when I started to read Runaway Road, the first book in this series and was hooked. These books are just so good, captivating me and keeping me glued to my reader from the first page on, I love it!<br />
<br />
The idea of the red Cadillac acting like some kind of baton being passed from one of these old friends to the next bringing them much needed change and love is intriguing. That this includes road trips and in the case of Katherine and Cash also the journey from best friends to lovers, well, that simply makes it perfect!<br />
<br />
When Katherine tries to take a much needed vacation that is supposed to help her get over her feelings for Cash...okay, she honestly didn't expect him to jump on the chance to get on the road with her, let alone somehow manipulating her to take him with her...<br />
I loved to see how those two finally figured out their feelings for each other and, of course, I also loved to learn more about our five friends from the junkyard.<br />
<br />
Heartwarming and captivating, this book is another one that I'll definitely read again - and now I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out!<br />

Absolutely WOW! <br />
Where to start to describe this incredible book...<br />
I
loved this book so much that the moment I finished it, I started again
because I couldn't let them go. Jesse and her friends (and foes)
captured my heart right from the start and the more I read, the deeper I
fell for them. <br />
<br />
Once again, Karen Lynch created an amazing,
complex, and intriguing world with absolutely fascinating and authentic
characters that made me long to meet them in real life. The story itself
was imaginative, fast-paced, and kept me on my toes and my imagination
working overtime. <br />
<br />
Jesse, our main character has to grow up
quickly when her parents disappear and she is the only one who can help
them. Fortunately, she has been prepared for this job all her life but
she never thought that she'd have to work and figure things out on her
own. <br />
Okay, she is not completely on her own. Don't forget about
Violet, her wonderful friend who always adds some levity and fun to the
story, while being absolutely supportive and strong or Jesse's little
brother, Finch, who is so adorable and lovable and, of course, there are
also Lukas and those with him.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I fell in love with all the
wonderful creatures that we meet in this book. I loved Jesse's
interactions with those around her and how much she cares for each and
every creature and man, no matter how big or how small they are - okay,
maybe not exactly ALL creatures but she doesn't tolerate injustice of
any kind. <br />
<br />
As usual, the writing is flawless and flows
effortlessly while drawing you in right from the first page until the
last. I must admit that at the beginning, I was a bit worried because,
let's fa<br />

<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
ce it - since I first read Relentless in October 2014, this
series has been my favorite and I can't count the times anymore that I
read and reread these books. And now, a new series....welllllll......
And I simply loved it. So much. It's completely different, it's a whole
world and story of its own and it is absolutely amazing. <br />
<br />
And
yes, I've already read it four times and I can't wait to listen to it
and to hold the paperback in hand. That's how good this book is. Did I
mention that I can't wait till the next book is out?!? </div>

the whole, I really enjoyed reading all of the books in this series up
to now though I always needed some time to get into them. This one
wasn't different, I started reading several times till I finally was
hooked by the story.<br /><br />Even though I loved Quinn and Georgia
together and I liked that they didn't play games but knew what they
wanted. Things were still rough due to their circumstances though I was
frustrated that Quinn had so many problems that could have been solved
if he had just mentioned one thing. He didn't though and I must admit
that I had a hard time accepting his explanation considering the fact
that his whole career was on the line and his team suffered because of
all this secrecy. <br /><br />There was a lot of drama and I loved how the
two of them dealt with it, together and in the end, the book drew me in
but still, somehow it left me a bit wanting. I thought of their
interactions and their love for each other and loved it and then I'd
think of those things that Quinn didn't share with his team and his
coach and I was upset once again. </span></span><br />

<i>
<em>The world irrevocably changed after the hellhounds and fey
appeared. Most people didn’t survive that first night. Dad had said we
were lucky we did. I’m not so sure about that anymore. </em>
</i><br />
<i><br />With her father murdered before her eyes and her faith in the
remaining humans shaken, Brenna reluctantly accepts sanctuary in
Tolerance, a safe zone managed by the fey. The wall keeps the infected
out. But it also keeps the humans in…with the very creatures that caused
the world to break.<br />
<br />Big, grey, and ruthlessly deadly, the fey
strike fear in the hearts of men and women alike. But Brenna finds one
more intimidating than all the rest. Scarred and angry, Thallirin
watches Brenna with an intensity that makes her relive the events that
followed her father’s murder. She knows what Thallirin wants, and she’s
never going to be used like that again. <br />
<br />Tormented by her
past, Brenna sees no possible future other than eventual infection or
starvation. There is hope, though. Her community is abuzz with a newly
discovered way to protect women against the disease that’s turning
people into zombies. However, it doesn’t come from a needle. <br />
<br />It comes from sleeping with the dark fey.</i><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Oh my god, somehow these books keep getting better and better! I absolutely loved Demon Dawn and can't wait for the next book in this series to come out. I've read all of the books in this series and loved each and every one. They are funny, captivating and amazing, even though I must admit that at first, I wondered if it was really such a good idea to read a book set in a kind of zombie-apocalypse at a time like this when we have our own kind of apocalypse waiting outside but, well, it was the resurrection series, right? I couldn't resist!<br /><br />Brenna is another wonderful character who has fought hard to survive in this new world and like many others, she had to learn that the monsters are not always those who look like it. After everything they have been through, I loved how Brenna slowly learned to love the one guy who has been waiting patiently for her to love him back - and I also loved to see her mother find someone to love as well. <br /><br />If you've read the other books in this series, you will have met Thallirin already. He has not always been one of the good guys but he has worked hard to be accepted by the others again. Oh, by the way - I hope that you've read the other books already because even though most of the books apart from the first three can be read as standalones, you'd miss the world-building and you'd lack some information. It's just more fun if you read them in their order or at least read the first three before you read any of the other books.<br />And now - just dive in, this book is amazing, I hope that you'll love it as much as I do!</span><br />
