COVER REVEAL - The Hookup Equation by Roxie Noir #TheHookupEquation #CoverReveal

Teach me everything.

The Hookup Equation, all-new hilarious standalone romantic comedy from Roxie Noir, is coming February 26th, and look at this dreamy cover!

My whole life, I’ve been a good girl. I follow rules like nobody’s business. I obey guidelines like I was born to it. Show me a line, and I’ll toe it.
I’m even a twenty-two-year-old virgin. Good is my middle name.
And then, I break one tiny little rule. Miniscule. Inconsequential.
Next thing I know, I’m trapped with an incredibly handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut emeralds, biceps that makes my head spin, and a smile that has me rethinking all my life choices.
We escape a bar bathroom together. We go on an impromptu date. We share the hottest kiss I’ve ever had, one that leaves me panting for more. We promise to see each other again.
Turns out, we see each other the next morning.
In my calculus class.
Which he’s teaching.
My handsome, sexy date is Professor Loveless, and we’ll be seeing each other plenty. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all semester.
There’s no choice but to call it off. We both have too much at stake: I could lose my scholarship, and he could lose his entire career.
But I can’t call off the way I feel.
I can’t call off the way he looks when he rolls up his sleeves and explains imaginary numbers.
I can’t call off the heated glances, or the way our hands touch when I hand in my homework, or the memory of his body pressing against mine that night.
I’m a virgin.
He’s my professor.
And if we give in, it could cost us both everything.
But I’m so tired of being a good girl.

Lilian and the Irresistible Duke by Virginia Heath #LilianAndTheIrressistibleDuke

Lilian and the Irresistible Duke by Virginia Heath

A reunion in Rome…

Sparks an affair to remember!

Part of Secrets of a Victorian Household. Responsible widow Lilian Fairclough is persuaded to travel to Rome for a hard-earned break and to let down her hair! She’s surprised to be reunited with passionate, cynical Italian duke Pietro Venturi. He reawakens her sensual side and intrigues her with glimpses of pain beneath his rakish surface. Enticed into a secret and temporary affair, what will happen once she returns home?

Last year I was in Rome and I loved it because it is a fascinating city but when I read Lilian and the Irresistible Duke, I caught myself wishing for someone like Lilian at my side if I ever go there again. Her open mind, her fascination and her love of art and culture make everything seem even more special than it already is.

I could understand Pietro so well when he fell for Lilian, she was such a refreshing character. She was mature and intelligent, well educated and interested in almost everything but despite all that and despite the life she led with all its responsibilities and loss, she had a certain naivete, a certain ability to enjoy Rome and its treasures that I felt drawn in as well by her personality and her love of life and art.

Pietro, whose former short-lived marriage had been a nightmare, fights hard but somehow his certain ...interest...that was safe and familiar and meaningless in the long run, turns into something more. Much more. With time running out and the two of them living so far apart, things seem rather desperate and hopeless.
A beautiful story full of love and second chances. I really loved reading this book.

RELEASE BLITZ - The Third Best Thing by Maya Hughes #TheThirdBest Thing #ReleaseBliltz

IT IS FINALLY HERE!

This is Berk and Jules' story and I loved it!

  by

Dear Letter Girl, I need to see you. When can we meet?

Her response never came. My secret pen pal with a dirty mind has ghosted me. I've roped Jules, my sweet as pie next door neighbor, to help me track her down.
There's only one problem--I'm falling for her. The tortoise shell glasses, out of this world curves and delicious treats are making the search for The Letter Girl even harder.
My notes were supposed to be a one time thing. A little too much wine and naughty thoughts on a winter's night. I never thought Berk would write back. I wanted to tell him it was me, but the fear of rejection kept my lips sealed.
Now he’s enlisted my help to track down The Letter Girl and our search has him hot on my, ahem, her trail.
She's the girl next door.
He's my secret pen pal.
Truth is on a collision course with their hearts and it’s only a matter of time before one of them gets wrecked...

Berk and Jules are absolutely great together! I really really loved them! It was just right, they fit perfectly! The first and the second book in this series were already great and I loved them but somehow this story is even sweeter and more perfect.
Interesting, multi-layered characters that intrigued me and captured my heart from the first page on and an equally captivating story that kept me glued to my reader.

I loved to see how Berk fell for Jules, hook, line and..oh, well, rather cookie, doughnut and Jules, simply Jules. You could feel his love grow and vice versa. She was already crushing on him but those feelings became more intense and more real over the course of the events. I also liked to see him help Jules when her family turned up (geez, with a family like that, you don't need any enemies, trust me!!) and when we learned more about him and his story....oh my...
These two absolutely lovable and amazing people who find each other and who fall in love, deeply and irrevocably - who wouldn't love this book???

A Favor for a Favor (All In, #2) by Helena Hunting

From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love.

When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?

Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.

So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

Oh, my goodness, this book was simply amazing! I loved that even though we meet some of the characters from A Lie for a Lie again, this book is completely different! Bishop and  Stevie are great together and I loved their chemistry and the way they actually cared for each other. An interesting and captivating story and great characters all wrapped up in one brilliantly written bundle - this is definitely a story that I'll reread more than once.

I must add that I read the ebook and listened to the audiobook as well. The audiobook was also really well done with great narrators and overall an absolute pleasure to listen to. No matter which way you want to enjoy this book, reading or listening to it, you can't go wrong!

Unexpectedly Yours by Rebecca Shea #UnexpectedlyYours

*Synopsis*
One night of unbridled passion.

It was the only thing Andrew McPherson and Grace Morgan could afford.

Intense.
Sexy.
Unforgettable.

They promised they would never see each other again, but fate had other plans.
Andrew’s entire life has been spent working toward one goal—to own the top advertising and public relations company in the world. He’s driven, ruthless when it comes to business, never letting anything stand in his way…until Grace.

Grace has worked hard to build her advertising career. She’s fiercely talented and dedicated to her clients. Grace has no interest in getting involved with a man when she knows her focus should be on her career and paying off her mounting debt.

Andrew knows better than to get involved with a woman who is completely off limits, but he never backs down from what he wants, and he won’t stop until Grace is his…only this might cost him more than he’s willing to give.

This book is sweet and cute and basically an ode to love, so if you need lots of drama and angst...well, you won't find that in here. If you like some insta-love topped with rationally acting, absolutely likable characters, yep, this one is yours.

I really enjoyed reading this book despite its rather...unexcited...story of love and the pursuit of happiness, love, and friendship. Of course, despite some minor bumps, everything just seems to fall into place. Money is no issue for our hero and he is determined to share everything, his life, his love, his flat and his money with a woman he just met the night before.
Grace is a very charming and down to earth woman who actually needs some convincing. Even though she quickly falls in love with him as well, she stays true to herself and her own values. Drew though, he throws caution to the winds and dives head first into this relationship even going as far as steamrolling Grace when it comes to their dates or spending time (and nights) at his place. Very obviously his negotiating skills are top-notch because she doesn't stand a chance...
Falling for Grace, mending bridges with his estranged brother while relocating and giving up his own life for his new love is all one big parcel. And even though not all is just rainbows and unicorns, on the whole, everything is really easy and smooth sailing for these two. To quote Grace: "True love conquers all the crap life hands us." And conquer they do.If you don't like insta-love and couples that are very obviously made for each other...alright, if that's the case, you won't like this story. If you need something for a cozy afternoon, leaving all those angsty stories behind while swooning a bit and simply feeling well, this book is perfect. From the first page on, this is a sweet feel-good story that will leave you with this nice feeling of content and a stupid smile on your face. You need cute? Read it!

As Noa struggles to untangle the increasingly strange occurrences around her and control her rising power, she realizes that her safety – and the safety of those she loves – may be in more danger than she ever imagined.

Secrets don't stay submerged forever.

 *Review*

On the whole, I enjoyed reading this debut novel that left me waiting impatiently for the next book in this series. It took me some time to get into it, though once I was hooked, I didn't put the book down till the end.

I liked the hero and the heroine but for a long time, I wasn't completely sure who the male main character was. Alright, it was rather obvious on the one hand but on the other hand, it didn't really fit. I would have loved some more chemistry and, all circumstances considered, I would have loved to know deep down that these two belong together because they just click and not because of someone else's manipulations.

In some parts, the story seemed a bit rushed and also a bit confusing and sometimes I just wanted to kick our heroine a bit for not realizing...well...things.
Despite that, this fast-paced and action-packed book was a great read and I can't wait to read more about Noa and her friends!

The Girl Who Cried Werewolf (Of Fates & Fables Book 1) by Heather Hildenbrand and Bam Shepherd #TheGirlWhoCriedWerewolf

#
by
Heather Hildenbrand and Bam Shepherd

Book Boyfriends are real. Pass it on.

Professional book blogger Romy Cartelli may have cried werewolf once or twice. Hell, she’s even cried vampire, warlock, and dragon their fair share of times—because, as every dedicated reader knows, one book boyfriend is never enough.

And her followers love it…until they don’t.

Sure, Romy is being stalked by a sexy werewolf, but she’s got bigger issues to deal with. Like the fact that he might be a murderer. Or worse yet, that she got drunk and told all of her followers that werewolves actually exist. Then she fails to prove it.

Cue the trolling and the haters.

Now Romy’s out to prove she’s not crazy and win back her followers. But as she sets out to clear her name, she’ll discover there are bigger dangers awaiting her than internet infamy.

This book had it all, it made me laugh, and groan, roll my eyes, rant and grouch....while keeping me glued to my reader till the end. And you know what? When you come to the end and realize that this isn't the end but en end "for now" and that you really really need the next book RIGHT NOW...you know that you've read a great book!

I loved the characters despite the fact that Romy's absolute dedication to her job aka her blog made me a bit mad because I told her about a thousand times that this or that was really a bad idea or that she definitely shouldn't do whatever she was doing at that time and ... yep, you get the gist. Right, I really loved those two though and I absolutely loved the chemistry between Kash and Romy.
Kash has a hard time protecting Romy though considering the fact that she tends to make these bad decisions and, well, we left her in a pretty shitty situation which kind of pr oves my point, right? This girl did cost me a lot of nerves - but I enjoyed every single minute of it!

And now - did I mention that I NEED the next book? Right NOW?!

Dear Letter Girl, I need to see you. When can we meet?

Her response never came. My secret pen pal with a dirty mind has ghosted me. I've roped Jules, my sweet as pie next-door neighbor, to help me track her down.

There's only one problem—I'm falling for her. The tortoiseshell glasses, out of this world curves and delicious treats are making the search for The Letter Girl even harder.

My notes were supposed to be a one-time thing.

EXCERPT

How can you lose someone you’ve never met? The Letter Girl had careened into my life like a damn smash and grab pro and wormed her way into my heart before I knew what happened.
She was everything I’d ever wanted in a girl. Hot as hell. Smart and caring. The slow slide of the notes from X-rated to something more caught me off guard, but she became someone I could talk to. Someone I could share parts of myself that I didn’t share with other people. Even if she didn’t know everything about my past, she knew more than most.
No one wanted to be sexy pen pals with a former foster kid with almost no one in the whole world. Nah, that was for the college senior, soon to be pro athlete.

Don’t ever let anyone see things bother you; I learned that in foster home number four. If everything’s a joke, there’s nothing they can do to hurt you, but losing TLG when I thought I’d finally found someone who knew me for me and actually gave a shit? That hurt. It was an unexpected squeeze on my heart every so often that made it hard to breathe.
Jules slid her hand closer, herky-jerky like she was in a stop motion animation movie before it finally landed on top of mine with a gentle pat. “Is it really that important for you to find her?”
I shrugged. “Maybe not. She probably got tired of trying to figure out my fucking chicken scratch.” I forced out a laugh through the tightness in my chest.
“Once the season starts things will be crazy for you, right?”
“You’re right. I guess I’m fixating because not much else is going on.” No, this would always be a question I needed answered. Who is TLG and did all the things we’d written about mean as much to her as they meant to me?

If you want to start right there where it began....check out the other books in this series, starting with...

I really freaking loved these books and can't wait for The Third Best Thing to hit my kindle! This story will be amazing! Check them out, you'll love them!

The Art of Kissing Beneath the Mistletoe (Imposters #3) by Tanya Anne Crosby #KissingBeneathTheMistletoe

by

Synopsis

Once upon a time, Alexandra Grace Huntington believed in fairy tales. She oohed and aahed over gowns from Courtauld’s, never wore black unless in mourning, always minded her social graces, and never, ever indulged her inner bluestocking. Now her world has come crashing down like a thousands shards of glass. Her father is a dastard, her mother blames her for taking his side. (Rightly so, considering what Lexie has learned.) She’s home alone for the holidays, all alone, no siblings, no friends, and not a shred of pride remaining. But that’s all well and good, so far as Alexandra is concerned because everything she thought she knew was wrong. Her best friend, Claire Wentworth had it right all along, and the Universe had seen fit to reward Claire with, of all things, a crown (quite literally). However, while Lexie once aspired to the same, she has changed. When she’s unexpectedly invited to celebrate one last holiday with her best friend, she can’t accept quickly enough… only how did one comport oneself after everything that was said and done?
Benjamin W. Wentworth III, the seventh Earl of Highbury, has been through his own travails. He nearly drove his family to ruin, and now, after spending weeks in debtor’s prison because of Alexandra's father, and coming shockingly close to losing his life and endangering his sweet sister, he realizes that all that glitters is simply not gold. The last thing he desires is to saddle himself with a woman like Alexandra Huntington, with whom he once shared a passion for the Season. Now, he’d rather choke himself with a silk cravat than endure an instant with someone so vain, so self-indulgent, so giddy and witless. He only wishes his sister would leave off with the holiday matchmaking—mustn't she realize how much he has changed?  When Lexie arrives to celebrate one final Christmas before his sister leaves for Meridian, it is all he can do to avoid the empty-headed chit. Unfortunately, his sister and her friends have festooned the entire house with mistletoe, and to make matters worse, Lexie is proving to be someone else entirely, and he’s about to remember the art of kissing beneath the mistletoe.

Did you read the other books in this series? If not - go back and do it, they are totally worth it! And if you have...did you ever think about Alexandra, Claire's best friend and the daughter of the one...well, you know?

This brand-new book is about Alexandra's story and it is also about Claire's brother Ben. After everything that happened in A Crown for a Lady, the second book in the Impostor series, I loved to see those two find love and happiness even if their way wasn't straight and it wasn't without the one or the other bump on their road to happiness. I mean, they already knew that the other one is annoying and not exactly their favorite person, don't they?
Well, this would not be a story about kissing and mistletoes on Christmas if life didn't have a big surprise for both of them in store - and maybe even a happy end.

I really enjoyed this charming addition to this series and can recommend it even if it is not Christmas just because it is a wonderful story!

If the other two books sound familiar  - these two books were relaunched last autumn with a new cover and a new title. The original titles were The Impostor's Kiss and The Impostor Prince.

Sneak Peek:

The office is just starting to come alive when I slide into my cube. The weather—on top of it being the first day after a long holiday weekend—has everyone getting a late, lazy start. I fire up my laptop just as Jamie comes gliding across the floor, carrying two cups of coffee. I smile at her, and she smiles back. I wouldn’t know what to do without her.
You always have my back, don’t you?” I say as she shoves the cup of steaming cardboard at me.
Always.” She side-eyes me sarcastically. “Except when you ignore my texts and calls for an entire weekend.”
I glance away from her and hold the coffee between both of my hands, letting the contents of the cup warm my fingers. “Guilty,” I manage between sips of the hot liquid. “And I’m sorry. It’s just been so crazy, I don’t even know what to tell you or where to start—”
She cuts me off in her endearing, commanding way. “How about we pick up where we left off on Friday.” Her eyebrows raise knowingly, and I pinch my eyes closed, feeling awful for ignoring her.
I glance across the office and notice that Drew’s office lights are still off, which means he hasn’t arrived yet. I heave a sigh of relief, knowing that he’s not here and I can catch up with Jamie before he arrives. I stand up and reach for Jamie’s hand.
Conference room,” I tell her, nodding toward the dark room. I drag her down the hall and the room lights up when we enter thanks to the motion sensors. I close and lock the door, drawing the privacy screens next so people can’t see us.
Throwing herself into a chair, Jamie grins at me. “Must be good if we have to talk about it in a conference room.” She spins in her chair like an excited little girl.
I can’t have anyone in the office knowing about this,” I tell Jamie seriously. “I can’t have this jeopardize my career or have anyone thinking I’m doing anything inappropriate,” I start.
Her eyes widen like she knows this is going to be juicy, but she says with all seriousness, “I know. I didn’t mean it like that—”
Jamie,” I cut her off. “I need you to promise me you’ll keep this under wraps. I need this job, I love this job. I’ve loved this job long before Mr. McPherson bought the company…”
Is that what you call him? Mr. McPherson?” she interrupts with a giggle. “Deeper, Mr. McPherson,” she jokingly says and I roll my eyes. “Okay, sorry. I’ll be serious now.” She straightens up in her chair and pulls her coffee to her. “Tell me everything.”
I sit next to Jamie and start from Friday night. I tell her about the elevator, our night at the hotel, condo shopping, dinner, furniture shopping, and even about our picnic. I tell her I confessed about my money problems, problems even Jamie doesn’t know the gritty details of. She knows I’ve got shit to take care of, but she doesn’t know the extent of it. Jamie listens intently as I tell her everything. When I finally finish, she simply stares at me.
Damn,” she murmurs, dazed. “You guys jumped right into this, didn’t you?”
I can’t do anything but nod my damn head in response. “I know, and it fucking scares me.”
