Finally: Rogue - Karen Lynch ~Review in English~

Much anticipated and now, finally, it's out!

Rogue von Karen Lynch
ASIN: B012TMAFU6

Blurb:

Sara Grey is done hiding and done being afraid. The Master thinks he has her running scared, but she’s taking matters into her own hands and taking her life back. With the help of her friends, she sets out to find the one person who can answer her questions about her past, and who may be able to lead them to the Master.
On her journey, Sara faces new challenges and dangers, and learns that the world of good and evil is not as clear cut as she had believed. She makes new friends, unexpected allies, and reconnects with people from her past. As her powers continue to change and grow, she transforms from a struggling girl into a strong young warrior.

But at what cost? How much is Sara willing to sacrifice in her need for independence and her quest for the truth? And will her newfound strength be enough to save her and the people she loves when she finally comes face-to-face with her powerful nemesis? Nothing could have prepared her for what is to come, and it will take everything in her to survive the final test of courage and love.

A year has passed and finally I can accompany Sara and her friends on her mission to search for the Master. - Stop! All those who don't know what I'm talking about, haven't read Refuge yet, so please – back to Refuge, these books should be savored in their correct order! And those who by chance haven't even read Relentless – well, it's obvious that that should change and soon, right? After all I have read those books many many times since their release.
But back to the much-anticipated Rogue. Waiting for the last book in a series is sometimes a bit of a nail-biter as you never know if the author won't end up spoiling the whole series for you with the wrong ending and...well, I guess, every booklover knows this feeling, doesn't he?

I was very confident there though as Karen Lynch's books are just amazing after all in the way they're construed and how everything fits and some clue here and there links all the books together but – as I said above: One never knows....

Rogue could convince me in no time that it's not just as good as its predecessors but it's even more intensive and more gripping. The moment it arrived on my reader, I didn't put it down again till I was done. From time to time, still reading, I searched for handkerchiefs, the next moment I laughed out loud and the next, when it all got a bit romantic and such, I sat there with a goofy grin on my face. And then again, there were times when I just held on tight and didn't dare breathe till....well...till.... You'd better read for yourself what all this was about!

Following Sara and her friends till the end is absolutely worth it – and I already know that I'll also read this book again and again. Apart from being well written, it also answers all those questions that were posed along the way from the first book on. This book by Karen Lynch is definitely one of my higlights of the year!

★★★★

Oh, if you have already read Refuge and want to know a bit more about Nikolas and his feelings – a scene form his point of view ist just a *click* away, there you might find an answer to the question to what could bring a seasoned, strong warrior like Nikolas (almost) to his knees....

*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review*
