Cover reveal - Insatiable by Melanie Harlow

After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.

Insatiable, an all-new irresistible friends to lovers romance from USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow is coming November 11th and here is the gorgeous cover!

I didn’t mean to see him naked--it was an accident.

It had to be, right?

Because Noah McCormick and I have never been anything more than friends. In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never once laid a finger on me. And even though he was a cute lifeguard at 16 and a hotter-than-hell sheriff’s deputy at 34, he's always been that protective guy I could trust to keep his hands to himself. I never wanted to mess with that.

Until I walked in on him getting out of the shower and saw his hard, muscular body totally bare and dripping wet. At that moment I never wanted to mess with anything so badly in my entire life.

I should have covered my eyes. Said I was sorry. At the very least, I could have handed him a towel.

After all, I was only in town for a few days, and he was just doing me a favor by escorting me to my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t a real date.

But I didn’t apologize. And he didn’t cover up.

(Talk about a hot mess.)

After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.

He’s made it clear he’s not interested in romance. Which is fine with me because
I’ve got a plane ticket back to my real life at the end of the week.

It’s all in fun...or is it?

BLOG TOUR - Kiss me again by Emma Hart #KissMeAgain

Synopsis

WANTED: ROOMMATE. Must be tidy, polite, and absolutely not my brother's hot as sin best friend.

I have no idea why I said yes.
Maybe I'd had one too many wines. Maybe I'd done it accidentally. Maybe I'd been sleep-texting.

One thing I know for sure is this: I absolutely do not want Ethan Hawkins in my apartment, up in my business, taking over my space.
Yet he's here. Moving his stuff into my spare bedroom. Sending a wave of panty-melting, musky man-scent my way every time he walks past me.

Here's the thing.
We don't get along--at all. We never have, and I don't think we're going to start now that we're under one roof.

There's also that little issue where I'm kinda, sorta, totally in love with him...

Uh-oh.

 ★★

Okay, there were times when I rolled my eyes, thought something along the lines of "Seriously? How mature...not...is this really....?" only to find myself drawn into it once again. This book made me laugh out loud, roll my eyes, snicker, giggle, snort...and everything in between. It was fun to read and when I felt that perhaps it was a bit too much and that I'd love to see more real action instead of bickering and pranks, well, I always got what I wanted. The interactions between the hero and the heroine, also known as Ethan and Ava, were funny and sweet - and sometimes they drove me mad.

Halley and Reagan, Ava's friends, yeah, have you read the other books in this series? Yes? Well, in that case, you know exactly what to expect, right? Their discussions and interactions may cause serious whiplash but their hearts are always in the right place. Mostly. If you haven't read those books yet, trust me, you'll get to know them. Fast. Reagan and Halley, as well as the other friends of our hero and our heroine, are fun to be around as well as loyal and nice with a big helping of busy-body on the side.

Ava has been in love with Ethan for a long time and vice versa. When Ethan needs a place to stay and Ava who desperately needs a roommate, reluctantly agrees to let him stay at her place, things are off to a rough start because none of them wants to betray his or her feelings and a war of passive-aggressive pranks is soon under way. When siblings and other informants are also drawn into it, things get really interesting ...

I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved to get to know Mr. Prickles (and Barbie) and meet old friends again. This whole series was highly entertaining and really nice to read.

Excerpt

I shoved the front door open and set my gaze on Ethan on the sofa. “If you’re going to lie to me about living here, we’re going to have to set some hard and fast rules. The first one: the stinky, spiky pig lives in your bedroom.”
He peered over at me, one hand in a bag of cheese Doritos and the other tickling the hedgehog who was now lying on his chest.
It was quite the sight.
How do you know he stinks?” he asked, licking his fingers and cradling the animal before he put the chip packet on the coffee table.
I Googled. They need cleaning every day. I’m not doing it, and neither am I living in a smell of tiny animal who should be wild.”
He’s a pygmy hedgehog. He’s bred to be domesticated.”
His spiky bits could be made out of solid gold and I wouldn’t give a shit.” I put my purse on the island and looked at him. “You can send me Google links to them if it pleases His Highness, but my stance won’t change. That animal is not living in my living room, and I’d rather you didn’t snuggle with him on the sofa.”
It’s ironic,” Ethan mused. “I have a hedgehog on my chest, and you’re still the prickliest thing in this apartment.”
If I wasn’t staunchly against animal cruelty, I’d throw a saucepan at you.”
You can still hit me over the head with it.”
I was talking about you, not the hedgehog, you pig.”
May I say that you are an absolute fucking delight, Ava. I can’t imagine why you’re still single.”
Probably the same reason you are. The asshole gene is strong as fuck and not all that attractive.”

A Crown for a Lady (Imposters #2) by Tanya Anne Crosby

Synopsis:

A deception of royal proportions thrust Ian MacEwen into the very center of the ton's marriage mart,
forcing him to choose a bride who would be queen. All he wanted was to uncover the answers denied him from birth. Instead, he found saucy Claire Wentworth, a fearless woman with grass-green eyes who needs his protection—and his love—whether she knows it or not.
Fallen from grace, Claire Wentworth stalks her at every turn. She needs a champion, but what she gets instead is a royal mystery. The man all of London hails as "Prince" instead strikes her as a rogue adventurer—who no doubt rouses her slumbering heart to wide-awake desire.

Read the The Impostors Series in Order:
Book 1: Seduced by a Prince

Book 2: A Crown for a Lady

As I really enjoyed reading Seduced by a Prince, I also had to read A Crown for a Lady and find out how Ian fared after he left his unconscious brother behind (long story...). Taking the place of his brother at court is surprisingly easy though there are other challenges that are much harder to deal with and Ian has a hard time to resist temptation.

The more he learns about his brother and his life, the more he eventually learns about his own life as well. What he discovers is a tragic story of love and betrayal, lost hope and lost love. Maybe he will be able to find a way to turn back the time, at least a little bit and right some wrongs while reuniting with his twin, the brother he never knew about.

I liked Ian and his heroine, Claire, who desperately tries to find the money to her brother who was kidnapped a couple of weeks earlier. I must admit that I had certain ideas where the story might lead us and thought that I'd know what to expect before I read the book. Well, let's just say that Tany Anne Crosby surprised me once again. A story full of unexpected twists and turns, great characters and a captivating storyline even though towards the end some parts of it were a bit rushed and I was left without answers to some of my questions. On the whole, I enjoyed reading the book even though I liked the first book in this series a bit better.

If you haven't read Seduced by a Prince yet, you should start there as A Crown for a Lady is the second book in the Impostor series. You should be aware though that both books are relaunches so if you have read The Impostor's Kiss and/or The Impostor Prince, you might already know this story. A Crown for a Lady was published in 2006 with the title The Impostor Prince.

Fire Song (Daughters of Avalon, #3) by Tanya Anne Crosby #FireSong

Blurb:

Seren Pendragon has been praised for her gentility, and yet, deep down, she is anything but serene. Her mother is a witch, her sisters are in peril, and she is promised to a beast of a man who has already purportedly murdered one king. When she and her sister find a chance to escape Morwen’s clutches, they seize it, but neither realizes how much their struggle will change the fates. Alas, it will take a terrible tragedy to unleash Seren’s inner fire.

The Bastard Butcher of Warkworth is no stranger to misfortune. All he held dear vanished one night in a wisp of smoke, and he has been scarred by his encounters with Morwen Pendragon—both mentally and physically. But, when one of the Witch’s daughters finds herself in need, Will must find the champion within and ride to her rescue.

I really enjoyed the other books in this series with their mystic and fascinating story and this book is no exception. Okay, a couple of pages in, I was devastated, thoroughly and completely, handkerchief-wielding and cry-my-eyes-out devastated, so trust me, this book is not for the faint of heart. Its magik is not about unicorns and rainbows but it is about the fight against the dark and the evil, with Morwen, our heroine's mother being the incarnation of everything evil and cruel. Seren and her sisters are not only fighting for their very lives and their happiness but also for their country and its people while trying to find their own destiny - and maybe even love.

This book is another captivating mix of historical facts and characters spiced with a healthy dose of magik and mysticism. It's a fast-paced, imaginative and intriguing story that slowly unfolds while every sister has her own story, well, almost every sister. This book is the story of Seren Pendragon and Wilhelm Fitz Richard.

Wilhelm was sent by their sister Rosalynde to retrieve Arwen and Seren who were separated from their sisters and are currently waiting on a ship always in fear of being discovered by their mother and her minions. He is supposed to deliver them to Rosalynde who is anxiously waiting for them. When a  blow of fate changes the sisters' lives forever, he will have to convince Seren that he is not her enemy but might even become her champion. While Seren and Wilhelm travel towards Warkworth where they are supposed to meet Rosalynde, well, this thing about a champion? It might come true. And even better - those two fall in love. Deeply and irrevocably.
Once again another great book in this series, I am already looking forward to the next and final book!

Release Blast - Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay #MrMayfair

Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay

It should be the most shocking news I’d ever gotten—My boyfriend is getting married.

Okay, technically he’s my ex-boyfriend. Two months ago he decided he wanted a break. I still thought he was my happily ever after.

On any other day, knowing he was gone for good would be the worst thing that could possibly happen.

But not today.

Because not only is my boyfriend getting married—his bride is my best friend.

And they’ve sent me an invitation.

There’s no way I’m going to attend. I don’t care if it’s in beautiful Scotland.

Nothing and no one could convince me.

Not even when a deliciously handsome stranger tells me he needs to go as my plus one.

Not even when he shoots me a wickedly, sexy smile.

But then he offers me the opportunity of a lifetime—a dream come true. How can I say no?

But I have one condition. He has to be my new boyfriend. I mean, my pretend new boyfriend.

I'm about to find out that faking it can be a whole lot of fun.

This. Book. Is. Amazing!
You know these books that keep you turning page after page way after bedtime? And when you finally lie down, you realize that your cheeks actually hurt because you've been smiling so hard all that time? Right. Mr. Amyfair was one of those books for me. Literally.

I love almost all the books by Louise Bay but this one is definitely my favorite book of hers at the moment. I loved the chemistry and the ease with which Beck and Stella slowly slide from pretense to the real deal. When Beck again and again stands up for Stella and when Stella helps him to fit in and to achieve his aim, when Beck makes Stella brave enough to defend herself against, well, actually her so-called best friends among others, I found myself cheering them on and celebrating each of their victories no matter how small or how big with them. Even when they hit a bump or two along the way, I was never really worried. I didn't like to see any of them hurt and lost but I was positive that things would turn out right and that I'd get my HEA in the end because those two simply belonged together no matter how they started. I really loved that those two realized what was happening to them and that they were up for it despite their initial misgivings and their personal experiences.

The characters were authentic and very lovable and their chemistry was just right with sparks and all and even though their mutual attraction didn't feel over the top or forced but natural and good. Thinking back, I don't think that a lot actually happened, sure, they went to the wedding of Stella's former boyfriend and her life-long best friend with all that implies, conquer some dragons, learn a lot about themselves and each other and...still, even though I don't remember much action - I loved every single page of this book!
