***Coming Soon*** Rockstar by Lauren Rowe

✮ ✮ ✮ COMING SOON!! ✮ ✮ ✮

ROCKSTAR, an all-new Sexy and Emotional standalone romance by Lauren Rowe is releasing April 29th!

Add it to your TBR - https://bit.ly/2XUcufK

It was lyrics at first sight when I saw Violet Rhodes across that crowded party. She was lights and darks, swirled together. Music in motion. And all of it while looking like a hitwoman at an Elvis convention.

I had nothing to offer the intriguing girl but a one-night stand. I figured I’d revel in my last night of anonymity before my first tour and shoot her a quick “We’ll always have L.A.!” goodbye the next morning.

But nothing went according to plan.

In one night, Violet crawled under my skin and into my bloodstream. She tattooed her name across my chest and between my legs. She became my muse. And then she was gone.

Now, months later, here she is again. And in a twist I never saw coming, it turns out Violet is ultra-violet radiation. Beautiful, ethereal light bringing with her the promise of damage and destruction.

My brain tells me to walk away from this girl, but my heart can’t stop feeling like she might be one of a kind . . . the sort of girl who comes along once in a violet moon.

ROCKSTAR is a standalone romance, the love story of Dax Morgan and the electrifying woman who rocked his world during his journey to worldwide rock superstardom.

Wolf Rising (SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team #8) by Paige Tyler #WolfRising

Blurb:

Werewolf SWAT Officer Jayden Brooks has yet to meet The One—but when he rescues teacher Selena Rosa from a hostage situation at her high school, he knows he’s in trouble. Her scent is irresistible.

There’s a reason for that powerful scent—and it isn’t an expensive perfume. Thanks to the traumatizing events at the school, the werewolf gene flipped on and Selena’s going through the change. Even scarier, she’s on track to become an omega—an out-of-control and violent breed. It’s going to take everything Brooks has if he wants any chance to pull her back from the edge…and ultimately win her heart.

Once again we meet the werewolves of our SWAT team  - and once again I found myself glued to my reader. Even when I just wanted to scroll through it to refresh my memory when I was writing this review, I was pulled in once more and ended up reading it - again.

Gripping, captivating and full of suspense from the first page to the oast, this book was amazing! And Selena and Brooks, well, I loved those two! Oh, and there're brownies. You can never go wrong when there are brownies involved, right?

Anyway -  those two made me chuckle and laugh, swoon and I worried with them when things got rough and complicated. I loved learning more about the pack and the different kinds of werewolves and I loved learning more about "our" team and its members.

A highly enjoyable book with a great story and some really amazing characters! I'm looking forward to the next book in this series and I can't wait to finally read it!

CHASER
Everyone knows you should never say never. Cooper never saw Maggie coming--she was just his best friend’s little sister, the curly-haired, freckle-faced girl from Mississippi who was absolutely off limits. Maggie never expected to find her fiancé banging her maid of honor an hour before she was set to walk down the aisle, but life’s funny that way. The only option to save her sanity is to get the hell out of Jackson and move to New York where her brother lives. The only downside: Cooper is there too. And she just doesn’t know if she can stay away from him — the filthy rich, dead sexy playboy who’s allergic to commitment.

LAST CALL
Patrick Evans is no stranger to consequences. When your mother walks out, your dad drifts away. When you leave home, you’re on your own. And when you run away from the girl you love, you lose her. He finally has an opportunity to rebuild the bridge he burned with Rose, and it’s not one he’ll take for granted. But he’ll have to fight for her, even if it hurts. Even if it means he’ll walk away brokenhearted. Because deep down, he knows that she’s it for him. The trick will be to get her to admit she feels it too.

About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Wild Hunger (The Phoenix Pack #7) by Suzanne Wright

Blurb:

When half–wolf shifter Frankie Newman receives an e-mail from a family member she didn’t know existed, a secret is revealed: as a child, Frankie witnessed her father killing her mother…and then himself. Frankie was torn from her pack by her mother’s human relatives, and the trauma was erased from her memory. Realizing that she’s been lied to her entire life, she’s never felt more alone. Until she catches the scent of an old friend—warmly familiar and intoxicating.

Trick Hardy, enforcer of the Phoenix Pack, can sense the rush of mutual attraction when he sees Frankie again. He knows immediately that she’s his true mate. But he also knows that, given her fragile state, he needs to tread with care—no matter how fierce his surging desires.

As aroused as Frankie is by Trick’s darkly dominant air and simmering desire, her priority right now is her past—not her future, no matter how tempting. But as more secrets emerge and Frankie’s life is threatened, Trick must do everything he can to keep her close and safe. After all, it’s their destiny.

Wow, what a ride - again. I love the books by Suzanne Wright. I've read all of her books in the Phoenix- and Mercury Pack series' up to now and I love them. Yes, her heroes are a bit rough around the edges and rather coarse but, hey, they are shifters, right. Wolves. And they behave like their feral counterparts only (slightly) less feral.

So, well, you shouldn't mind some (more) swearing and there might even be (a lot of) sexual intercourse so if that offends or disturbs you these books might not be right for you. If you are fine with that though, you are in for great characters and amazing stories. Even though each and every one of these books tells the story of another couple struggling to find their way from feeling the bond to mating, every book is as different as the personalities of our different heroes.

"Wild Hunger" is the story of Trick, one of the wolves of the Phoenix pack and his mate Frankie. Once started, I couldn't put this book down but read on and on till the end. It was gripping and thrilling and kept me guessing, nail-biting, swooning, grinning, gasping and well...just read it. It is totally worth it!

Audiobook: Fated by Karen Lynch #fated #relentless

A couple of days  ago,

I could finally download the brand new audio book of

You want to know whether it's good? Okay, just think of

1 + 1

as in a brilliant and amazing book like

Fated + Amazing Narrators= Incredible, Brilliant Audio Book

 *****
Cailin Greer and Zachary Webber did it again. They took an amazing book and turned it into an even more amazing audio book that once again draws you in, makes you  smile, chuckle, hold your breath...even if you have read this book several times already - and when you listen to their narration, it feels as if you just opened the book for the first time.

The Relentless-series is one of the few series where I own every book as an ebook, audio book and as a paperback and I love each and every one of them and re-listen and re-read them regularly. The books are simply amazing and those narrations - perfect.

Release Day Blitz and review: The Consequence of Rejection by Rachel van Dyken

The Consequence of Rejection

by

Rachel van Dyken

Blurb:

You know the universe is trying to tell you something when you get struck by lightning, but only after getting hit on by the elderly, almost getting ran over by a semi, and running into the one who got away.
Why do they say it like that anyway?
Like I accidentally lost her when she was the one that got in the car with my best friend and left me.
The day after I proposed.
We were eighteen.
I wanted forever.
She didn't.
It's been ten years.
I tried to move on, tried to get married, had that same wedding crashed by my now best friend who says the only way for me to stop pissing off the universe, is to gain closure with the one woman I can't forget.
So I do it.
I embark on a journey down memory lane that not only lands me in prison but on the receiving end of a fist fight in front of the entire town, this naturally happens after drunken pool sex, climbing the same girls window, and getting threatened at gunpoint by her father.
To say the universe is trying to tell me something anything, is a giant understatement.
I just hope I survive the message.
And then, I hope I survive her--again.

Excerpt:

Full breasts spilled over into a small black bikini that left nothing to the imagination, it barely covered nipple for that matter, and the bottoms? Well she had to keep adjusting them lets just say high school bathing suits ten years later look small.
In the best way possible.
Head held high she walked right by me to Max, grabbed a shot, took it, then sucked the lime he held out in front of her.
I growled.
Max winked at me. “Something wrong, man?”
I reached for the non existent gun at my side, which just made him grin harder as he kept handing out alcohol to parents of toddlers.
Because thats the type of party it was.
Almost everyone started talking about their kids, retirement, stock portfolios, vacation time, and babies.
It was almost too depressing for words.
I had all those things but what I’d always wanted. A family. Babies.
Maddy.
She shared a sideway’s glance with me.
I reached for her, but she pulled away and ran full speed towards the pool and did a giant canon ball.
People cheered.
While I watched as wet cold water ran down her curvy body, my gaze was so tranfixed on her erect nipples I’m surprised nobody pulled me aside about my current situation of arousal.
Cold water. Fast.
I chased after her, jumped in.
And felt the warm buzz of alcohol fill my veins just as I popped up and saw Max follow, balls first, in my face.
I ducked just in time so I didn’t get a fist full of balls.
The guy only laughed once we both popped up.
I swam towards Maddy, and tugged her against me. “Stop running.”
“I’m not.” Her breath came out raspy. “I’m just…reliving old times, isn’t that what you wanted? So we could have closure?”
Why did it feel like she was turning the tables on me.
“Yeah,” I said slowly, “But—“
Her kiss was swift.
Hard.
Fast, and oh so very punishing as I gaped into her mouth and pinned her against he side of the pool.
Music filled the air out of nowhere from somewhere outside, it pounded into my ears the way I wanted to pound into her.
I grinned against her mouth as she wrapped her legs around my waist.
And then Reid cast a shadow over us and started pouring vodka over our heads.
Maddy tilted her head back and opened her mouth while I leaned in and licked it off her chin.
People cheered.
“Guys!” Someone yelled. “Keep it down, someones going to call the cops!”
“Cops?” Max laughed loudly. “I am the law, bitches!” The music blared. “Plus, we already got our cop here.” He pointed while I took another shot.
People cheered.
And then Maddy squeezed her thighs.
Yeah the cops were coming alright.

Review

Believe me, this is not the second chance story that you expected. Okay, maybe you were expecting something like this because unlike me, you know the other books in this series and met this very special group of friends already. Otherwise you are in for lots of unexpected fun, lots of chaos and - did I mention the fun? Oh, and the romance, of course. Jason and Maddy are meant to be and even though I understood why Maddy left, ages ago, I was really happy to see those two find each other again.

Max, Jason's friend...well, he is definitely one of those acquired tastes, I was never sure whether I loved him of hated him. He has a very strange sense of humor and to tell the truth, if he was a friend of mine, he'd drive me mad. Well, that sentiment is shared by Jason, actually. Sometimes, rather often, I must admit, his strange ideas and his "advice" may even be considered as helpful.
This is a story about first love and second chances, about small town life and its restrictions, about moving on when your whole life is gone. Your reason for living has left - did you fight for it?
This is also a story about the things that change and the things that stay just the way they are. Because they are good the way they are, you know?
I really enjoyed reading this wonderful story by Rachel Van Dyken. Not my first book by her and definitely my last either.

Live on January 22nd - Shiver by Suzanne Wright

Want so see another side

of

Suzanne Wright?

You might know her paranormal romances
like her Phoenix series or her Mercury series but

Shiver

is different and I think it will be definitely worth checking it out:

Blurb:

Kensey Lyons has never had ‘normal’. Instead, she has a mother who lives in her head, a stepfather who’s on death row, and the stigma that comes with being the child of an extramarital affair. Writing has always been her escape. Knowing the reception her books receive will be tainted by her personal life, Kensey secretly writes under a penname when she’s not working part-time at her godmother’s bar. Her world might not be exciting, but she likes it exactly as it is.

When she meets alarmingly compelling businessman Blake Mercier, the snap of attraction is instant. She doesn’t like it. Doesn’t want to be drawn to this man who is blatantly dangerous, carries dark secrets, and lives life by his own rules. Neither of them make a great first impression on the other, so she’s more than surprised when he begins to pursue her with a single-minded focus that is unsettling, thrilling, and infuriating. Her gut tells her to keep her distance, but Blake won’t let her run. Won’t give her space.

There’s another person who won’t give her space. Someone who has discovered the secret of her penname and who seems intent on taunting her. And as Kensey struggles to identify her persecutor, Blake is by her side, determined to keep her safe … because Blake Mercier always holds tight to what’s his. Always.
