My name was Sebastian. But now they call me Slade. I’ve reinvented myself, become a man, been sworn into the Red Dragon MC. I’ve got tattooed and ripped to hell, I’ve cut my hair and my face now bears the scars of all the fights I’ve seen. The last thing I need is to face her again…

It’s been eight years since Maya ran away from the club. Sweet, beautiful Maya. My first love.

Why do I have to ride halfway across the country to pick her up? Because the club is at war, she’s the niece of our President and I’m the only brother who can be trusted to protect her.

She broke my heart, but I still want her. Do I ever. This woman is my goddess. She’s also my curse.

I need to focus on getting her home. But as soon as our eyes lock, she’s looking at me all kinds of ways. Like I’m the sexiest, most perfect stranger she’s ever seen.

And then I realise, I look completely different to the boy she once knew and she doesn’t even recognise me.
I could tell her who I am. Or I could have a little fun with her first…

This sexy second novel in the Red Dragon MC series can also be read as a standalone. Fans of Kristen Ashley, Joanna Wylde and Madeline Sheehan will love the heart-stopping tension. Guaranteed HEA, no cliffhangers and no cheating.

The Hardest Hit by A.S. Teague #TheHardestHit

My friends used to tell me ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.’ Clearly they lied, because there
was no way the chemistry I had with Mel could ever be left behind.

However, my children, her career, and nine hundred miles between us meant that for seven years, Melanie Holstein was the one who got away.

I was Aiden Shaw, first-round draft pick turned the best quarterback the league had ever seen. I worked hard to secure my position in football history while balancing life as a single dad. Through it all, my Vegas spitfire was never far from my mind.

And considering her best friend was now with my best friend, it was pure and utter torture.

When my career took a devastating turn, Mel was the first person at my side. I was broken and defeated, but that stubborn woman was determined to piece me back together.

I liked to pretend Mel and I were destined for greatness, but Lady Luck had never been on our side. And the tragedy that followed might have been the hardest hit of all.

It took me several tries to get into this book, not because it wasn't good but simply because I was so frustrated that these star-crossed lovers whose chemistry is off the charts, who just belong together - never get around to really be together.

I understood where they came from, I was frustrated despite that, I read and put the book away, picked it up again, put it away and then, when fate finally, yeah, well, fate wasn't kind or nice or whatever, fate was mean and nasty but I couldn't stop reading when those two finally got their chance. And, yesssss, they take that chance and things get real.

I loved how Mel stayed at Aiden's side no matter what happened, no matter how grumpy and ...well, everything he was. I also loved how they finally forged a new life for themselves, together. I felt with them when tragedy struck again, I worried, I was terrified, I...wow. I couldn't put the book down anymore then.

I read and really enjoyed The Hardest Route, the first book and I was happy to meet Brooks and Griff again now in The Hardest Hit and to see how those two and their not-so-little-anymore-one fare and I loved to see Aiden and Mel finally find their HEA.

Full disclosure though - I was a bit wary at first because of the age gap. Sometimes it doesn't mean anything and sometimes it bothers me but this well-written book with its intriguing plot and its amazing characters convinced me once more that when it comes to true love, age is just a number.
So, even if you are not sure about that gap, try it, this book is worth it!

Seduced by a Prince (Imposters #1) by Tanya Anne Crosby

Seduced by a Prince (Imposters #1) by Tanya Anne Crosby

Blurb:

Merrick Welbourne never anticipated discovering a long-lost twin—particularly one who'd rob him
and leave him for dead on the road. Now living his brother's aristocratic life, he has new trials, tribulations... and temptations, not the least being Chloe Simon, a woman of rare mettle, proud heart, and unprecedented beauty. But she’s no easy mark for a perceived highwayman.
Chloe Simon knew Lord Lindale was definitely not himself. After encountering the masked highwayman Hawk left for dead, he seemed... somehow different. Maybe more approachable? Infinitely more... desirable. Entirely too irresistible. In a stolen moment of startling intimacy, he makes her feel like titled nobility. But she was only ever a doctor's daughter, with every reason to steer clear of his very kissable lips.

This book is a relaunch of the book The Impostor's Kiss, the first book in the Impostor series, one of the author's earlier works but nevertheless as charming, fascinating and captivating as, well, actually all of her books that I've read up to now.
I really loved reading this book about an impostor...or a lost son...or love or maybe about the friends that you make that turn a place to live into a home, a place where you belong.

When Merrick Welbourne, our prince, and hero travels to Glen Abbey in the wilds of Scotland, he doesn't expect to be confronted with a carbon copy of himself - and especially not under these circumstances! But it is not just a twin that he discovers but also a mother and, of course, our heroine, the very intriguing Chloe Simon who captures his heart right from the start. She, well, it takes her a bit longer to fall in love, after all, she can't understand why the pompous Ian, Earl of Lindale suddenly behaves completely different!

While posing as Ian and living Ian's life, Merrick learns to value a very different kind of life, harder for sure, but one that is much more satisfying than his own life. Falling in love, caring for those whose life is entrusted to his care - how will he be able to ever leave again? Oh, and then there's still the question of the highwayman, Hawk, who caused all of this and of course - his brother, Ian, who drove away in Merrick's carriage and hasn't been heard of since. What could he be up to?

This question will be answered in the second book in this series, A Crown For A Lady and I can't wait to read it! I loved Merrick and Chloe's story even though I was a bit shocked at the beginning when Fiona, Merrick and Ian's mother was presented with an impossible choice - oh, and I can't understand the children's father and his behavior at all but maybe, maybe the next book will redeem him. A bit. Perhaps.
