The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
But who said the devil was a he?
In my world, she was out to cause havoc on all our lives.
She’ll use the one thing I care most about to control me—force me into her Elite world, filled with sin, deceit, and power. And under her spell, I’ll lead a sinister brotherhood of seven at one of the most prestigious universities in New Orleans.
Seven tasks set forth by the devil herself, promising nothing less than the forbidden fruit of power. What they don’t understand is it will all end in bloodshed and regret.
They call me the alpha. The one in charge. The one with pride bigger than any task I could be given. And my pride won’t let me be anywhere but at the top of the food chain until she gives me what I truly want.
My task is Meghan Thorne.
She’s too pure for me to touch, too good for me to ruin—and the only thing standing in my way to freedom.
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak...they’re for The Elite.
As they say, pride comes before the fall.
I am Mason Blackwell.
I am Pride.

The Elite Seven

7 AUTHORS.
7 STORIES.
7 DEADLY SINS.

Since 1942, The Elite Seven Society have created and guided influential leaders, molding the country into something better. This society was birthed by Malcom Benedict, II who wanted more for Americans.  More wealth.  More influence.  More power. Some leaders have the skills, but not the influence, and that simply wasn’t fair according to Mr. Benedict. He invested his own money and time to construct a society that bred the best of the best, year after year.
But to be the best, you must be ruthless.
Good leaders make sacrifices.  Sometimes the sacrifices are hard, but the rewards are plentiful.  Mr. Benedict made sure to indulge these leaders with their utmost desires.  A devout Catholic himself, he designed a society that rewarded his leaders with the sins that were frowned upon.  If they were giving up love and happiness and joy for the betterment of the country, they deserved something in its stead.
Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust.
Choosing leaders for this society means that it takes intense focus.  Only seven are to be selected, and the investments and time are showered upon the new seven chosen every four years.  The predecessors of each group of seven choose people who fit the sin that will mold them into who they are needed to be in the future—what America needs them to be.  This is after a detailed study of many potential candidates.  The university’s acting dean behaves as a liaison for the society bringing the college applicants to the predecessors so that the selection may begin.  The society members who are going out will bring forth a candidate that the society votes on and approves.
After they are chosen, the initiates are given a token and an invitation to initiation.  The initiation will be a test to their character and ability to do what’s right for the betterment of the society.  Once the initiates pass their test, they are discreetly branded with the mark of the society, and are groomed through challenges during the course of their elite education to breed them into the influential people they were meant to be.
Once in The Elite Seven, there is no getting out. The money and power are their reward. Should they choose to stray or break the rules, the society strips them of everything.  Anything they once had will be removed.  Opportunities will never arise.  They will no longer have the support of the society.  To this day, there have been no known occurrences of anyone from the society having to be banished.  This elite group of people are what every young man and woman aspire to be a part of.  While the group is a secret society, they are whispered about amongst the privileged folks in the country.  Anyone who is anyone knows of the group and secretly hopes it’s their son or daughter who are selected, for good fortune is showered on the family for decades to come.

The only obstacle to full initiation is my task: seduce the un-seducible, the forbidden, and lure her with the sins of the flesh.
Easy for a man like me…in theory.

Envy: Releasing March 25th

It was temptation that broke the sinner.
People say I have everything.
They’re wrong.
I may have looks, money, and privilege, but I don’t have the one thing that really matters, the one thing I crave: a woman with eyes only for me.
I’m searching for my woman—one who will fall to her knees because I’m her king. She’ll wear the crown of my tarnished name, and long for me when I’m not near. And when I am close, she’ll be naked across my lap, feeling the sting of my palm across her milky skin.
You could say I’m a sinner because I’d do anything to have the perfect woman—compliant to my every need and whim—and I’m envious of every couple who walks around naive to the luxury they have.
That’s why I joined The Elite, the most prestigious brotherhood in the south.
It’s the one place that will give me what I cannot have.
Only…the task assigned to me is too much for my jealous eyes.
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak...they’re for The Elite.

Greed: Releasing April 8th

I was born into a world of darkness—one that never touched me when I was around my brother, Mason Blackwell. Leader of The Elite Seven. The thing about darkness, though, is it’s persistent. Eventually, it pushes itself into my life, penetrating my soul and leaving its stench latched to every vein, rooted inside every bone, and sunken into every pore. I thought I reached rock bottom when I fell in love with my brother’s best friend. My very own brand of drug with no comedown. My own nightmare I never woke from. But I was wrong. So very wrong. When I returned to New Orleans, I arrived as a shell of the girl they once knew. Put on a smile. Be the sweet innocent girl they remember.
I’m Evie Blackwell, hostage to my demons. Can the damned be saved?
I’ve done some unforgivable acts in my years, but I never asked for forgiveness. Nothing beats the feeling of wrapping my hand around someone’s throat and watching as their life bleeds down their cheeks. She was everything I should have stayed away from. The first night I saw her, I knew I was doomed—a slave to the girl with the pretty eyes and soft smile. The girl who turned out to be my best friend's baby sister. I couldn’t stay away. I had to be near her, even if it meant ruining her in the process. I wanted to wreck her, so I could piece her back together—a puzzle only I knew how to solve.
I’m Micah Dixon.
Greed.
I come for everything and get everything I come for—and I want all of her. But she’s changed, and so have I.
I’m much, much worse now…

GREED By Amo Jones

Gluttony: Releasing April 22nd

My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon.
Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking.
But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want more, yet nothing seems to satisfy me.
My father has made sure I become a part of The Elite Seven. Where most candidates are chosen, I was given my place. Everything comes at a price, though. Luckily, I can afford any price—no one has more money than God.
The Elite Seven have their initiations. My assignment is personal and beneath me: steal a car and send a warning. It’ll hurt my best friend in the process, but we both made a pact going into this. There’s no line we won’t cross.
My task makes an ugly turn and I nearly take a life. Such a small, unimportant person—someone no one would even notice was gone. She’s a problem my money and power can easily sweep under the rug.
It’s what my father wants. It’s what my brothers want. But when she finally opens those big, innocent brown eyes, I realize I’ve found what I’ve been searching for my entire life. I don’t want my little problem to disappear…I want to keep her.
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak—they’re for The Elite.
Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V.
I am Gluttony.
GLUTTONY by K. Webster

Sloth: Releasing May 13th

I don’t give a fuck.
Not about money or fame, beauty or power. I’ve had all those things since birth, and trust me, they’re a fucking snooze.
I don’t give a fuck about anyone, not even myself.
Until my father proves evil can exist in the most holy of places. For the first time ever, something like interest stirs in my soul.
He wants me to enroll at St. Augustine.
Join The Elite.
Court the virginal daughter of Archbishop Savoie.
Prove to him I’m worth the family name.
I’ll do it all.
And I’ll do it so well, no one will know what’s coming. People are so quick to underestimate the wicked and lazy.
They forget idle hands are the best tools for the devil’s work.

Blogtour - Breaking the Billionaire's Rules by Annika Martin #BreakingTheBillionaire'sRules

Blurb:

Max Hilton is my high school nemesis turned billionaire. And tomorrow I deliver his lunch order. In a cat costume.

You know he’s going to love it. He’ll smile that smirky smile, sitting there all superior in his gleaming tower, the wealthiest and most notorious playboy in all of New York, the king of everything.

Turns out it wasn’t curiosity that killed the cat—it was mortification.

I’m almost ready to quit my lunch delivery job, but then my roommate tosses me a copy of The Max Hilton Playbook: Ten Golden Rules for Picking up the Hottest Girl in the Room.

It’s the book that catapulted him to stardom. And it’s my new bible.

I’m going to use his own techniques against him. I’ll wrap him around my little finger, bring him to his knees, and crush his steely heart. Call it payback for all the single girls who had to endure legions of losers wielding his legendary tactics.

But seeing Max every day, I’m discovering a side of him
I didn’t even know existed--he’s not the jerky guy I thought he was. He has
this smile he shows only to me, and it melts my heart. His touch sends shivers
down my spine. And those forbidden kisses are driving me wild.

Falling for him was not in my plan.

Am I breaking his rules or will his rules break me first?

This book was a nice read but, and it is a big, fat but - it didn't really draw me in. While I was reading it, I had to stop several times and had to remind myself to go back to it and read it.

It was nice, I really liked the characters but apart from some funny episodes the whole story was rather predictable.
Let's start with the story though. Our hero, Max, a billionaire who goes way back with our heroine whose heart he broke at that time, is not just a successful entrepreneur who's making billions while having his photos plastered all over the city but also a closet-pianist and  the author of a men's guide to seducing women. The latter part is the one that makes him most unfamous with Mia's, our heroine's friends who have all fallen for some sh*tty guys who used Max's techniques on them. Now they are out for revenge.
Throw in a couple of sequins and rhinestones and sandwiches delivered by the Meow-Squad, some potentially famous (or not so famous considering everything) future actors, a bunch of crazy musicians and dancers - aaaaand the show begins!

I liked the characters, I really did but somehow they remained a bit flat and I couldn't feel them. They were nice, they were cute but something was missing. Unfortunately I felt the same when it came to the chemistry between the main characters. I knew where things would lead, I was expecting it and it was okay and sweet and nice but...even when it is slow-burning and slow-paced a love as passionate and lasting and....well...as this one is supposed to be, left me feeling rather indifferent. Soooo..unfortunately there's a definite lack of sparks and the special something that makes our hero and our heroine more than just the next nice couple.

On the whole, this book is a nice read but considering the fact that I almost forgot to finish the book and it couldn't really hold my attention despite it being really nice, I rated it three stars.

The Wrong Gentleman by Louise Bay IS LIVE! #TheWrongGentleman

IT'S LIVE!

And it's great!

Blurb:

The last thing I’m looking for is a man.

Scratch that.

The very last thing I’m looking for is love.

Love isn’t something to long for, it’s something to run from. I learned my lesson young and I learned it fast.

When Landon Wolf swaggers into my world, I just can’t see straight—he’s brooding and British, protective and provocative. So I set aside my rules for just one night.

One night that turns into a summer.

Landon Wolf needs to take his British ass back to London. This American girl is immune.

Impervious to the delicious way he says my name.

Unmoved by the way he touches me and makes every bad memory disappear.

And completely blind to his hard body, husky-like eyes and lickable jaw.

I’m not looking for love—I just hope it hasn’t found me.

When I started to read "The Wrong Gentleman" I knew exactly what to expect as I had already read (and loved) a couple of books by Louise Bay. Well, "The Wrong Gentleman" taught me that I definitely do not know exactly what to expect and when I think that I'll get a great book to read - it might just be even better than that!

I fell in love with Skylar right from the start. Oh, don't worry, I also fell for Landon but Skylar? I loved everything about her and I could so understand Landon when he couldn't forget her and when he realized that perhaps this one-night-stand wasn't meant to stay a one-night-stand, I cheered him on. When Skylar was in danger or might have been in danger or...whatever, I worried with him. I was upset with him, I could have kicked him and I ranted and ...I just hoped that he would be able to keep her safe and show her how much she means to him.
Captivating and thrilling, a great, well-plotted and well-written story with two amazing characters, lots of romance - and more- and an interesting setting - I really loved this book! And when I found that "The Ruthless Gentleman" is the first book about the brothers Wolfe, well, I guess, I'll have to read that one as well, right? Both are stand-alones and can be read separately, of course, but after meeting Hayden and Avery in The Wrong gentleman, I can't wait to find out more about their story either!

No matter what, I really enjoyed reading "The Wrong Gentleman" and I can't wait to explore even more of Louisa Bay's books!

Aufstieg und Fall des außerordentlichen Simon Snow (Simon Snow #1) by Rainbow Rowell

Inhalt:

Armed 'N Ready by Tee O'Fallon

 Blurb:

Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Nick Houston is as tough as they come, and he and his K-9, Saxon, are hot on the trail of a major illegal gun dealer. But his best lead—the beautiful owner of the Dog Park Café, Andi Hardt––is not cooperating. Doesn’t matter how sexy she is, or that his dog seems to be in love with her. She’s a suspect and he won’t cross that line. Ever.

Andi Hardt sank everything into her dream business—the Dog Park Café, a restaurant catering to dogs as much as people. Now everything is in jeopardy because of one extremely frustrating, incredibly hot state trooper. Like it or not, she’s in Nick’s crosshairs, and he’s calling the shots. Her only option: cooperate, or lose everything she’s worked so hard for.

Nick and Andi are catapulted straight into the danger zone, forcing them to make life-altering choices, and face their desires. Risking his life for Andi is the easy part. Risking his heart is the toughest assignment Nick will face.

Suffice to say that I downloaded this book yesterday evening around half past eleven and finished it at half past five...

I really loved this book! I laughed and I was shocked and I held my breath - Nick and Andi, our hero and our heroine kept me on my toes. Andi was an amazing character, I loved that she was capable and no push-over but someone who fights for what (or whom) she wants. With Andi and Nick's pasts, well, they had their work cut out for them because experiences like that aren't easy to overcome. Not at all. And then - this end? *SIGH*

Well-written and fast-paced with a captivating and well-plotted story, this book really kept me glued to my reader. I tried to sleep, really but... I failed. This was the first book by Tee O'Fallon that I've read and I must admit that I picked it up because it reminded me of the books by Katie Ruggle that I adore and sure enough, it didn't disappoint, not at all! This was definitely not the last book by the author and I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Law Man (Dream Man #3) by Kristen Ashley

Blurb:

Love is just around the corner . . . Sweet, shy Mara Hanover is in love with her neighbor. For four years, she has secretly watched her dream man from afar. Handsome police detective Mitch Lawson is way out of her league. She's a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and there's no way a guy like Mitch would want anything to do with her. But when Mara has a leaky faucet that she can't fix, it's Mitch who comes to her rescue.

Mitch has been eyeing his beautiful neighbor for a long time. He jumps at the chance to help her, and soon their formerly platonic relationship gets very hot and heavy. But when Mara gets a disturbing phone call from her cousin's kids, she gets pulled back into the life she's tried so hard to leave behind. Can the hot law man convince Mara to let go of her past-and build a future with him?

Oh my...where do I start.... I absolutely loved this book! Sure, half of the time I was annoyed because inscurances and such, he had to bully his way into her life (and I am truly grateful for it because it made for such a wonderful, sweet and...did I mention wonderful?...story) to even have a remote chance of getting her to understand how he felt about her. Okay, I must admit, most of Kristen Ashley's heroes are overly bossy and I'm not happy that they bully their women into loving them but somehow it always makes sense and I have to forgive them.

Mara being Mara though, sweet, tough, gentle, shy and fierce Mara, it takes some time for her to understand the depth of Mitch's feelings and his commitment. I loved how Mara cared for her cousin's kids and the lengths she was willing to go for them and I also loved Mitch and the matter-of-fact way he accepted her change of circumstances and was there for her no matter what happened.
Mitch and his friends are amazing that way. No, not all of his friends are exactly the most upstanding citizens but they are friends and allies that you can count on when things get rough. And things get rough, ohhhh yesss.... I mean, first we have to start "Operation Take the Trash out" and then things get really, really bad... The only silver lining on the horizon is the fact that all those things rather push Mara and Mitch closer together, oh, well, Mitch doesn't exactly allow Mara to push him away, but - details.

I fell for those kids from the start. Billy and Billie getting a chance at happiness and Mitch being there, helping Mara to make it happen? Absolutely amazing. Sure, Bill was an ...idiot...but I also felt sorry for him because he failed his kids despite everything he dreamed of when he himself was a kid and despite the fact that he wanted to do better.
Oh, the girls, all those cosmo drinking women who may be able (or not) to walk on their own even after a nice evening in LBDs with a bunch of cosmos? They are fun and loyal and I love them almost as much as Mitch's male friends.

I laughed a lot while reading this book but I also sobbed and choked a lot - well, Bud and Mitch know what it's like with women and sentimentality (OH MY ....this epilogue!!!! Sniff...!) and women and their moments but I loved this book and went straight back online to find out more about the other books in the Dream Man series.

I got hooked when reading The Hookup (yep, pun intended...) but since I've read that one, I've also read The Gamble and Lady Luck and loved both of them. I can't wait to read the other books in both series!
And right now, I have to find a good recipe for Mara's famous barbeque chicken pizza because that pizza is "the shit", as Mitch would put it. Oh, right, if you mind strong language, you might not feel comfortable with Kristen Ashley's books (especially Lady Luck) because the Characters use strong language. if you don't mind - go ahead, you'll love these books!
of Mitch's bossy way of treating Mara but, well, I mean, I got it. Being in love for ages and her being too shy and dealing with some heavy

The Last Duke (The 1797 Club #10) by Jess Michaels

Blurb:

When Christopher “Kit” Collins’ father dies, he is devastated, but he must swiftly take on the title of Duke of Kingsacre and all the responsibility that comes with it. Including the care of his very young illegitimate half-sister, who is now his ward. He is very upset when he discovers the governess his father hired for the child just before his death is Sarah Carlton.

Sarah is equally disturbed by the arrival of her new employer, as she and Kit once had an unpleasant encounter when she was at her lowest point. But since she has no other place to go, she can only hope he will not sack her. Thanks to the adoration of his sister, he does not and the two enter into a wary truce because they both care for the child.

A truce that explodes one passionate night after a nearly tragic accident. Comfort leads to more and soon the two are engaged in an affair. But when danger comes to threaten the child they both love, they must overcome their deeply rooted mistrust and work together to keep her safe. And perhaps find a way to make a family together.

Length: Full length book
Heat Level: Swoon-worthy

This book is part of a series (The 1797 Club), but can be read as a standalone book.

The day has come that the Dukes hoped would never come but...we all knew that it would as he has been ailing for a while: Kit's father has died and Kit is now the last of our band of dukes to take his title. As his father was the one all of those (former) boys (turned dukes) looked up to and respected, all of them come to the funeral of the former Duke of Kingsacre. All of them stand behind Kit and lend him their strength and it's their friendship that pulls him through when his grief becomes too much.
As a surrogate father to his young illegitimate sister, he is often confronted with her governess Sarah now - and with his feelings for her. Maybe there is something more than just the memory of an unpleasant encounter in their past, maybe there is a future for them...if he finally stops refusing to see what everybody else sees...

I liked the way his friends care for him and make him see that his feelings are real and that he is allowed to feel that way despite everything else going down.  And of course, our dukes being the way they are, I loved to see how welcoming they are and how much they support Sarah and never hold her social status against her. As meddlesome as those guys (and girls) are, it is probably no wonder that Sarah and Kit...well.

Once again this is a beautiful and captivating story with twists and turns that draws you in right from the start and won't let go till the end. As this is the last book in this series, I was a bit anxious to see if it would live up to my expectations because I really loved each and every one of those books in this series. And I must say - it didn't disappoint. It was exactly what I had hoped for and I really enjoyed reading it. And now I can't wait for the next books by the author to come out! I've read almost all of her books by now and up to now,I haven't found a single one that I didn't like.

Lust (The Elite Seven #1) by Ker Dukey. #TheEliteSeven

Blurb:

The Elite Seven.

Lust:

I was born with wealth, athletic ability, and looks that could melt the panties off a nun.
I had a clear path to success.
Until fate dealt me a cruel blow, leaving me empty and in need of purpose.
My only focus now is to become part of The Elite—a secret society in one of the most prestigious colleges in the world.
But everything comes at a price, and with The Elite, you have to earn your place.
Lucky for me, being sinful is in my DNA.
The only obstacle to full initiation is my task: seduce the un-seducible, the forbidden, and lure her with the sins of the flesh.
Easy for a man like me…in theory.
She started as my task, but what happens when the lines between lust and love blur, and the need for power rages war with the need for her?
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak—they’re for The Elite.
This is my life, my chance, my legacy.
I am Rhett Masters.
I am Lust.

I must admit... I was a bit wary when I started reading this book because I wasn't really sure what to expect. It sounded like a great story and very promising but I was afraid that it would live up more to its title. And, well, it did that but in an abolutely positive way. Okay, not all the time but when it counted, at least in my eyes, things were fine.

Right from the beginning this book captivated me and despite the heartbreak (and I did need a bunch of hankies...) and everything that happened afterwards, I enjoyed every page of it. It was a truly interesting story, well plotted with characters that are not only likable but that you really, really want to get to know.

I was drawn in and kept reading and reading and I must say that I was very pleased when at a certain point, when I was very upset (and  not only me...) and some bad things went down, the characters reacted in an authentic and convincing way and what might have turned into a cliché, was perfect and made them come out stronger than before.
I loved the way the boys supported each other and I also loved to see Rhett discover what really counts. Oh, should I mention that I don't like his father? At all? Well, as I don't like God's father either, I might be some kind of father syndrome 😉 though honestly? It's not difficult to hate them, actually, it's rather easy.

The chemistry between Chastity (yes, it's Chastity who falls in love with Lust and vice versa...*sigh*) is great and let's just say that she doesn't really live up to her name - in a positive way. You can also feel that it is not just about the sex but that they complement each other and help each other. It's Chastity who keeps Rhett's nightmares at bay when he holds himself responsible for his loss.
I'm really looking forward to the next books int his series, I can't wait to find out what happened to Pride and what Lillian has to do with THAT....

Where you can buy it?

Blurb:

In a desperate bid to keep her fortune out of her cousin’s hands, shipping heiress Georgiana
Caversteed marries a condemned criminal in Newgate prison. The scoundrel’s first kiss is
shockingly heated, but Georgie never expects to see her husband again. Until she spots him
across a crowded ballroom.
Notorious rogue Benedict Wylde never expected a wife. He was in Newgate undercover,
working for Bow Street. To keep their marriage of convenience a secret, Wylde courts Georgie
in public, but the more time they spend together, the more their attraction sparks.
Could an heiress with the world at her feet find happiness with a penniless rake?

The author:
Kate Bateman, (also writing as K. C. Bateman), is the #1 bestselling author of Regency,
Victorian, and Renaissance historical romances, including the Secrets & Spies series: To Steal a
Heart, A Raven’s Heart and A Counterfeit Heart. All her books feature her favorite feisty,
intelligent heroines, (badasses in bodices!) wickedly inappropriate banter, and sexy, snarky
heroes you want to both strangle and kiss.
Kate wrote her first historical romance in response to a $1 bet with her husband who rashly
claimed she'd never finish the thing. She gleefully proved him wrong. When not traveling to
exotic locations, she leads a not-so-secret double life as a fine art appraiser and on-
screen antiques expert for several TV shows in the UK, each of which has up to 2.5 million
viewers. She splits her time between Illinois and her native England, and writes despite three
inexhaustible children and that number-loving husband who still owes her that dollar.

The Military Wife (A Heart of a Hero #1) by Laura Trentham

Blurb:

An emotionally layered novel about family, loss and what it means to be a military wife.

Harper Lee Wilcox has been marking time in her hometown of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina since her husband, Noah Wilcox’s death, nearly five years earlier. With her son Ben turning five and living at home with her mother, Harper fights a growing restlessness, worried that moving on means leaving the memory of her husband behind.

Her best friend, Allison Teague, is dealing with struggles of her own. Her husband, a former SEAL that served with Noah, was injured while deployed and has come home physically healed but fighting PTSD. With three children under foot and unable to help her husband, Allison is at her wit’s end.

In an effort to reenergize her own life, Harper sees an opportunity to help not only Allison but a network of other military wives eager to support her idea of starting a string of coffee houses close to military bases around the country.

In her pursuit of her dream, Harper crosses paths with Bennett Caldwell, Noah’s best friend and SEAL brother. A man who has a promise to keep, entangling their lives in ways neither of them can foresee. As her business grows so does an unexpected relationship with Bennett. Can Harper let go of her grief and build a future with Bennett even as the man they both loved haunts their pasts?

This book, wow. I made the mistake of reading it while I was waiting for my appointment at my dentist's. People looked a bit amused when I snickered and giggled or full-out laughed but they looked positively alarmed when I started to sniffle and to wipe my eyes...and I thought that I was so sneaky and inconspicuous. Well, that's what I thought till I looked up and found,...well. Okay, just note - don't read this book in public. Never.

I loved this story so much. Harper Lee's stubbornness, her way of looking at those around her, the way she cares for each and every one, her passion, her love for her son and...this love that sneaks up on her unexpectedly. And Bennett, whose life was definitely not made of unicorns and rainbows but of a lot of shitty stuff. Bennett who opens up to her, Bennett, who was Noah's best friend and who still can't get over his death and the circumstances.
I laughed so hard when I read about Harper's mum, om my.., she is amazing and unique and totally weird - in a very good way. And of course, there are also the other characters like Darren and Allison, for example, who are very likable and whose troubles and whose pain really got to me.
Of course, losing Noah wasn't a ride in the park either, neither for Harper nor for Bennett. I loved to see those two become closer and to see them share their worries and to see them heal. To see Bennett move forward, to trust in others, to open up and to reach out to others to help them...wow.

So, just - don't read in public and don't forget to bring a bunch of handkerchiefs, you'll need them. And right afterward you giggle and snort and, well, you'll fall in love with this book as much as I did.

 is now LIVE!!

Blurb:

From USA Today bestselling author W Winters comes a heart-wrenching, edge-of-your-seat gripping, romantic suspense.
I saw her from across the bar.
My bar. My city. Everything in that world belonged to me.
She stood out from the crowd like she was looking for someone to blame for her pain.
That night, I felt the depths of my mistakes. I felt my scars. With a single glance, I knew her touch would take it all away. I craved it more than anything.
I knew she would be a tempting, beautiful mistake.
One I would make again and again... even if it cost me everything.
